Update #18: DREAM WEAVERS!
It's official! The Gerlan Jeans Return to the Runway has been successfully OVER-FUNDED! This season just got brighter, bolder and more glamorous! Thanks to my wonderful village of supporters the Gerlan Jeans vision can now be brought to life in ways never before thought possible! Watch out WORLD! Stay tuned for video updates coming soon. Fashion week is just around the corner!

Its been a busy week in the studio- open 24 hours! All next seasons patterns have been shipped off to China and we just shipped off the last of the FW2010 Monster collection to stores! Its been a couture pom pom factory up in here for the last few months. Thanks to Vanna Whites yarn and my incredible interns patience, hardwork, and dedication..these monsters have been brought to life! Its a CHIC ATTACK!

WE DID IT!!!!! Thanks to you all, the Return to the Runway pledge drive has been successfully OVER-funded! The upcoming collection is officially BY THE PEOPLE- FOR THE PEOPLE! WE ARE THE JEANS GENERATION!
I can not begin to express how moved and inspired I am by your outpouring of love and support. The personal impact I have felt from each one of your contributions is a powerful force and gives me great strength and determination.
Your pledges have given Gerlan Jeans the financial strength it needs to continue to spread PEACE, LOVE, AND PRINTS ACROSS THE GALAXY! With the money raised from Kickstarter, the Gerlan Jeans vision can now be brought to life on the runway in ways I have only dreamed of!
There are still 3 days left to reach out to potential new backers! The Road to the Runway continues beyond the runway and onto sales and press. All funds pledged over my goal will be used to help cover the costs of showroom rental, look book printing, studio resources and travel expenses needed to get the collection in front of buyers. Keep spreading the word and reposting the link..let people know that there is still time to contribute to the future of fashion!

After a very long search through the pages of craigs list and the back alleys of the garment district....
I am very very very pleased to welcome Isadora to the Gerlan Jeans studio!!!
She is pure glamour and has already become one of the most vital members of my small team!
(she is not very good at sewing though... The no arm thing and all)

GERLAN MARCEL BIO
After graduating from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in 2005, Gerlan spent six seasons designing memorable prints and graphics for LA based designer, Jeremy Scott. Since relocating to New York City in 2006 and launching her own surface design studio called PRINTS PLEASE, Gerlan has been designing and printing textiles and graphics for designers
and mega-brands including Patricia Field, Barbie, Calvin Klein, and Libertine. Gerlan has also worked in technical design for labels and brands including, Hussein Chalayan and Coach.
In February 2009, Gerlan set out on her own print adventure with the introduction of GERLAN JEANS, a sportswear brand for men and women, specializing in prints, pattern and color! The GERLAN JEANS debut collection, titled “Peace & Love Inc.” was shown during New York Fashion Week at the home of Sex and the City Costume designer Patricia Field. Highlighting the Power of Print, the collection recieved world wide coverage for its bright colors, energetic prints and positive vibrations.
The celebration of print and color continued, with the GERLAN JEANS Spring/Summer 2010 collection titled, “By Any Jeans Necessary”, followed by the most recent collection for Fall/Winter 2010, titled, “No Monster Left Behind”. GERLAN JEANS looks forward to a bright and colorful print filled future! Watch out World...the fun has just begun!
