More about the DIY Vacuum Forming Machine:

-It holds 12" x 12" pieces of plastic

-I've used it to shape a few types of thermoforming plastics, like ABS, polystyrene, and PETG. Any thermoforming plastic that deforms at oven temperature will work.

-It has a raised vacuum surface so you can press the frame down over your mold

-It is air-tight (except for the top) sealed with silicone gel

-Any standard 1 1/4" vacuum hose extension fits in the machine

-Oven and Vacuum are required

Project Funding:

I'd like to purchase a table saw and sander to improve the look and quality of cuts and finish of the product. This will also allow me to build the machine faster in the future. It's my goal to offer this at the lowest price so everyone can try their hand at vacuum forming.

Your support will allow me to get a feel for the market, what it's like to produce a moderate number of vacuum formers, and the tools to do it at reasonable production rate.
