Records, posters, sharpies, and lots of silvery/shiny objects are threatening to  take over my tiny studio apartment here in NYC. The time has come to let this baby out of the hatch. I'm referring of course to my brand new EP, "Strong Enough." Please come celebrate with me at my Record Release/Bday Bash show which will take place this Sunday the 16th at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage II) at 7:30 pm.  This is my favorite room in Manhattan and I'll be playing alongside an outstanding group of musicians. There are many of you who have already RSVP'd and I know will be coming down to show your love and pick up your album. Silver or anything metallic is the dress code, if you dare...  If not, come as you are. Good luck.

*If you want to make sure you have a spot and a good view, come down at 7 or 7:15pm.

On a more somber note- I want to express my sincere sadness to anyone here that may have known someone in the horrific events that took place in Connecticut today. As a teacher and a human being, my heart really hurts today for those poor families and their traumatized community. There is so much love and generiosity in the human spirit, evident in the making of this record, but also far too much violence and misunderstanding. It baffles me. Great things happen when people come together- whether it may be expressing our love and caring through hugs, discussion, music or art- I think reaching out and being together is far better than going at it alone. 

I hope to see you all on Sunday for the show. Please know that for those of you who cannot attend the release show, I'll be getting in touch with you to deliver your gifts;)

To My Friends, Family and Fans;)

Wanted to give you all an update about my new record! If it hadn't been for your investment and the generous donations you made two months ago, it would have never been possible....

In mid August, my band and I headed into a rugged looking factory building in Williamsburg where we recorded four of my latest songs. I really had no clue what to expect and I was crossing my fingers throughout that initial week hoping I chose the right studio, the right songs, and the right producer for the project.

Well I am happy to say, now that everything has been recorded.....that I am so thrilled with the way it has come out! My heart, soul, and much of my brain activity over the past couple months has been poured into this CD. Editing and tweaking each song, listening to early mixes over and over again, and making seemingly small but important decisions about what works best for my music.... I am a little sad it had to end;( I hope these tracks put a smile on your face and make you do a double take when they come up on your iPod. The guys in my band, who many of you have seen live, did such an outstanding job in the studio. And kudos to my producer, Brian Forbes @ The Gallery who helped polish and strengthen my work and made us all sound our best. 

Now the big question: When will it come out? Good question. This is my second record and I've learned a few things. I'm so excited to share this music with you all, but this time around I'm doing it right and taking my time with the release. That means that your physical copies won't arrive for a little while longer. BUT, everyone who donated on kickstarter will be the first ones to receive the EP, "Strong Enough," whether you signed up for physical copies or digital mp3's. I will also be contacting you personally this month if you are among the lucky bunch who get a music lesson or concert from me;)

Lastly, I will be posting a video of us in the studio playing "Strong Enough," to give you a little taste of what's to come..... I can use your help staying active online with me as I plan to strategically release this record and build some anticipation;) I will of course continue to play gigs around town and would love to see you all there. The CD Release Show will be announced soon!

If I haven't done so already, I look forward to thanking many of you face to face and giving you a great big hug. Enjoy the start of Fall and get psyched for the music;)
