Update #6: Records are out the door!
Hello everyone,
I am happy to be able to tell you that all albums were shipped today! Some of you may receive packages as soon as tomorrow, but they should mostly arrive next week.
I really hope you like the music, and please let us know what you think. We're quite proud of the new songs.
If you are one of our friends in Cleveland, we'd love to see you at the record release show on February 11 at the Grog Shop. Details can be found on the Facebook event page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/311087028931065/
Well, I think that's the end of our Kickstarter project. It's been exciting, and we are so grateful to you for making it a success. Happy New Year, everyone, and we'll see you in 2012!

Update #5: Almost ready!
Update #4: Album Cover Update
Update #3: We made it!
Update #2: Preview five songs from the album
Good morning/afternoon, Backers!
We've had a great few weeks, and we're just shy of reaching 75% of our goal of $5,000! I'm confident that we will make it during the next 9 days.
The album has just come back from the mastering studio, and I can honestly say this is the best thing we've ever recorded. I can't wait for it to finally see the light of day and for all of you to hear it. For now, listen to a quick preview of five songs.
Thanks for your support! It really means a lot to us.

It's great to see that this is turning out to be so successful! Any word on when we might see the finished product?

The last thing we're waiting for is the cover art, and that should be here in the next week or two. Once that's ready, we'll be able to ship it off to the pressing plant, and I would estimate a late October or early November arrival for the CDs and LPs. Can't wait!

Charlie and Craig began recording music as Bears in the summer of 2005. Our self-titled album happened almost by accident in about eight months and went on to receive praise from publications like Skyscraper, Alternative Press, Amplifier, and Impose Magazine, among others. The record also received some decent college radio play, hitting #94 on the CMJ Top 200.
Right after that album came out, we expanded to a six-piece for live shows with our friends Jared, Shannon, Rachel and Patrick. Touring has since taken us around most of the country.
Our 2008 album, Simple Machinery, was self-released in the US, and Fastcut Records (The Pains of Being Pure at Heart / Acid House Kings) released it in Japan with 6 bonus tracks.
Now, three years later, after one of us remodeling a house and the other starting and finishing grad school, we are ready to release another record. Please join us.
I'm definitely looking forward to hearing your new album! Congratulations and have a great New Year. Any plans for high quality digital download (e.g. Band Camp)?
Hey Mike,
Yes, we'll have the album up on Band Camp for sure. It will go up there on the release date (2/14), so just send me a note that you'd like the high quality version, and we can send you the FLAC for free since you backed our project. Same goes for any other backers who might be interested...
Thanks!
