"Making A Killing" is an educational/historical documentary film which weaves the events and voices of American history with archival film and historic photographs to present an unvarnished history of American expansionism.  From Manifest Destiny to the "permanent, global war on terror", the film reveals the often-unabashed use of American military might in securing and protecting foreign territories in the interest of America's capitalists, industrialists, and corporations.  

The documentary also includes on-camera interviews with former top military and espionage personnel to bring a first-person authenticity to these myriad events which have shaped the perceptions of America's foreign intentions to much of the rest of the world; events which have gotten swept under the rug of popular American history.

One of the film's interviews is with author John Perkins, Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man, who shares his exploits in helping to subjugate poor nations with desirable resources to impossible debts and acquiescence to American corporate interests.

With an unflinching look at the American past, we can approach the future with a greater sense of honesty and a lessened opportunity to be led in to war for the benefit of the wealthy and at the expense of the poor.
