Anyone else seen this the Omni yet? Are you all thinking what I am thinking?

Cool - got a CLANG t-shirt in the mail today.. :)
Creator Lee Özer on May 12
Razer Hydra is not compatible with the Mac. what controller do you support on the Mac?
Creator Geno Merci on May 10
To be honest calibrating the Hydra to almost any game is a pain. I had to rearrange all of the electronics on my desk before I could get it working properly. Actually that isn't correct. I have -a lot- of electronics on and around my desk, I essentially had to create a sweet spot in the middle where the Hydra only received minimal interference.
Creator Jussi Laine on April 30
For those having big problems with calibration, Daud @ Foreworld forums mentioned keeping your arms bent a little when calibrating.. This made a big difference to me. It's still a little buggy, but nothing time and the other peoples money can't fix. ;)
Creator Nik Vernon on April 28
I also seem to be having some issues calibrating the Hydra correctly. I know part of the problem is my second monitor; even in full screen, with "disable mouse" checked, my cursor jumps out of the game and minimizes the game whenever I click the right trigger. I'll have to try it with that monitor disabled, but I also seem to be having issues doing anything outside of matching the various guards. Could this be how MotionCreator 2 and the Hydra software interact? I tried it without MC2 but the game didn't detect the Hydra then...
Creator Jademalo on April 28
I have a feeling I'm doing something horrifically wrong, but after numerous attempts and a heck of a lot of calibration, I cannot for the life of me get it working. I can get into guards just fine, but any swing of the sword is just.. Nothing. The sword takes a while to react, and it just glitches around for a bit until it finds another guard to snap into.
The right trigger for the aim assist thing doesn't help either, the sword ingame is still nothing like my actions.
Has anyone got any videos of themselves playing it to show what should be happening?
Creator Mark Teppo on April 28
Yes, please bring your comments and what-not to the forum. It makes it easier to cross-reference and share them amongst each other and the rest of the team.
Creator Luke on April 28
I'd guess the foreworld forums are the place to leave bug reports for now:

What's the appropriate place to leave feedback and bug reports for the backer tech demo?

Just received my Razer Hydra, super excited to try Clang! Also, not sure if you've been asked this before, but are there plans for Oculus Rift integration? The combination of Rift + Hydra could be incredibly immersive...

I meant Tactile, of course. :P

Tactical Haptics on Razer Hydra.. http://www.roadtovr.com/2013/04/08/tactical-haptics-reactive-grip-razer-hydra-gdc-2013-4628 Interesting.. Especially the sword demo. ;)
Creator Brett Stephens on April 4
I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet or not, but there is a special on the Razer Hydra (with or without the Portal 2 game and DLC to use the Hydra with it) here: http://www.razerzone.com/VRpromo/… 50% off. not as good of a deal s the woot sale last month, but still a great discount!
Creator Miles Matton on March 28
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/codelabs/duo-the-worlds-first-diy-3d-sensor
Saw the above project & thought it might be interesting to people here. Not one I'm likely to back though (unless the Subutai peoples really like it :D ).
Creator Stephen on March 28
Thanks for the fast reply, my Razer Hydra is now ordered and on the way.
I wasn't really expecting a linux port (just hoping), it'd be nice not to have to reboot to Windows to play, but I'd rather you focus your attentions on making an awesome game rather than porting it.
Creator Subutai Corporation on March 28
The Razer Hydra is still the optimal controller. Keyboard and mouse is supported, but is somewhat limited. Linux will not be happening in this release, sorry.
Creator Stephen on March 27
Excellent news that we only have a month or so more to wait. Can we get any news on controller support? Is the Hydra still the recommended controller?
Also, I know that you didn't make the $800,000 goal for it, but any hope of a Linux release?
Creator Subutai Corporation on March 21
Yes, left-handed will be supported. We suspect in the first release the player character will still have the right hand over the left on the sword, but we will fix that soon. The user will have the left hydra in the upper hand position.
Creator Steve Jackman on March 21
quick question because it just now occurred to me, will you be able to configure your swordfighter as a lefty? I only ask because I am one... if you need left-handed fencers to aid in mo-cap I happily volunteer
Creator Alan Claver on March 20
Nice update today but some info on when you'll be delivering would also have been nice - considering we're already a month past the "estimated" date.
Creator Ian Wellock on March 20
Hey, any update for us? It's been a month since the last one, and as you said, "we realize that we simply can't share once and then bury ourselves in work again."...
Creator Zarlan on March 13
The estimated delivery was last month *slightly amused* ....but then again, that was a mere estimate and delays in kickstarters are hardly rare.
I'd certainly not want a rushed product, with cut corners. I'd want to see a really well made game, to give a good image of sword-fighting and make people exited. Indeed, I'm more excited about this game giving sword-fighting good PR, than getting an enjoyable game for myself.
@Subutai Well that's fine then. As long as you stay here while the kickstarter isn't over (i.e. everyone gets their stuff, and a bit after that), that's good. After the kickstarter is over and done with, there will certainly be no real reason to keep posting information on CLANG here
...but the timing and wording of the update, did make it sound like you were abandoning Kickstarter prematurely.
Creator Jussi Laine on March 10
Just FYI backers.. Razer Hydra is up at Tech.woot.com today only for $40+$5 shipping.
Creator Ron Au on March 7
@Zarlan Don't worry, moving on from Kickstarter eventually will only work better for us :)
I also agree- Myo looks incredimazeballs. Sadly it doesn't have any positional sensors (the Razer Hydra can sense how close your hands are to the base) and you would definitely need two for a sword-fighting game with two-handers.
Creator Lou Hayt on February 27
MYO looks magical
Creator Marica Odagaki on February 27
Any chance for MYO support? https://getmyo.com/
Creator Subutai Corporation on February 20
Don't worry Zarlan, we will stay on Kickstarter at the very least until we have released CLANG to our donors! This mailing list migration is merely preparing for after that time.
Creator Zarlan on February 20
I've read the latest update, and I feel I must say this:
Until all backers have gotten what they have been promised, you have a responsibility to provide them updates, and read/answer comments here on the Kickstarter page.
To cut it out, and go with a mailing-list, is simply wrong and irresponsible.
Creator Ron Au on February 19
Agreed- if they just kept us up to date with where they're at, it wouldn't matter so much that they don't make their original date.
Creator Baja on February 18
I am mainly interested in the release date. If the date is pushed back, I'd like to be notified of that as well.
It was disappointing that the Marharlika Kuntaw sword fighting was not included. I am very happy with what I have seen of the game so far.
I toyed with a controller design that featured a gyro to force the user backward too. However, it seemed kind of dangerous lol, and recharging the battery would take a few hours.
Creator Alan Claver on February 18
It's a BAD idea to cut out the Kickstarter system for providing comments. I understand your desire to consolidate your postings (although I don't know why - you never provide any in the first place) but to eliminate Kickstarter commenting is wrong.
Kickstarter provides an independent and archived source of information. Speaking bluntly, using your own forum and email system leaves backers open to misinformation and your potential to modify or eliminate comments.
It may also be against the rules of a funded Kickstarter program. I will be contacting Kickstarter to get their opinion.
Creator Nicolai Linde on February 18
After I subscribe to your newsletter thing I just get a page that says "Page not found".
Creator Ian Wellock on February 18
@Nicholas Avenell, I think you're absolutely right. I'm very disappointed in the complete lack of information about this project; I think we deserve better. It doesn't need to be an opus every day, just a simple update once a month telling us what's gone according to plan and what hasn't.
@Lou Hayt, as far as the Leap motion device is concerned, it's optically based which means line of sight destroys detection - once your hand turns beyond a few degrees away from the sensor all points disappear and can't be calculated, which makes most poses and operations completely impossible to determine.
Creator Nicholas Avenell on February 18
Okay, so I realize at this point the answer is probably obvious, but for clarity, the chances of you hitting the original Feb 2013 release are pretty much zero now, aren't they? Software is hard. Hardware is even harder, and time estimations are the worst of all, but when you aren't going to hit a target, you should probably revise the estimates of the people who you told the original target to. I don't mind waiting longer - others might - but you haven't posted any actual progress here since Nov. 09, 2012.
Creator MBybee on January 14
Haven't seen anything in ages. I too would like an update
Creator Morgan Lawless on January 8
I can't wait for this to arrive! Any more updates?
Creator Ian Wellock on January 7
Hi, it's been a couple of months since the last update and that wasn't really big on status: could we get just a few words on how things are progressing?
Creator matt on December 25
It would be great to get an update. Even a short update every month would be good.
Ideally we have some dev diaries running by now.
Creator Jonathan on December 12, 2012
Any updates on overal game progress? Are you guys expecting to meet the "Estimated ship date" of February for the game?
Creator Lou Hayt on September 21, 2012
leap motion seem to have low latency, I'd be happy to see a review of it for Clangs purposes.
Creator Da Mayor on September 17, 2012
Jeremy - You're definitely not the first to recommend it. (Heck, if you scroll down, you'll see two other people talkin' about it.) Though if you go with a motion controller and a wearable display, you MIGHT wanna make sure the ceiling fan's turned off... I have enough problems with that just using my PS Move to play Disc Golf...
Creator Jeremy Thiesen on September 15, 2012
Someone needs to combine the occulus rift and clang together. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1523379957/oculus-rift-step-into-the-game
Creator Don_Dragon on September 11, 2012
I'd like to thank the CLANG crew, not only for pushing the development a tech which has been long overdue, but for inspiring me to get off my ass. CLANG was the kick I needed to finally start learning medieval fencing IRL, and so far, it's a total blast, (and an excellent way to get back into shape)
Creator Da Mayor on September 11, 2012
Careful about that sword. The last thing you wanna do is give a smooth, erudite dude like Neal a way to contact your mom.
