I'm JP Morgan Writer/Director of the short film UNDEAD: a love story. This is a story I have been working on for some time  and I hold it very dear to my heart. The inspiration behind this film is that I love the whole zombie genre of films and I am also a sucker for dramatic films with great dramatic performances. These two elements very rarely are combined in the world of filmmaking. 

I set out to write a piece that not only incorporates the shock and gore of a Zombie film but also has great character development and dramatic performances. This film is essentially a romance film set during a zombie outbreak. I am very excited to have the opportunity to make this film that will explore the ideas of love, perseverance, and the fear of the unknown set in this type of world.

UNDEAD: a love story follows a man named Brian on his journey to find his fiancee Ann in a world full of zombies. He encounters obstacles on the way that leads him to realize that something is not quite right within himself. The film leads up to a very dramatic twist ending just when you think Brian has achieved his goal. 

WHERE WILL YOUR MONEY GO?

LOCATIONS- Being shot in L.A. every location has a price, and we don't want to skimp on the locations. You can have the greatest performances on film but if you don't buy the world they live in thats the fastest way to lose an audience.

CAST AND CREW- We are composed of mostly people who have a strong passion for this project and are working just to be part of it but I'm a firm believer in taking care of everyone during a shoot. 

EQUIPMENT- Lighting and lenses are always important to filmmaking. I'm the type of filmmaker who has learned to do a lot with very little and have been able to come up with very professional looking shoots. Imagine what I could do with a little money backing me.    

MUSIC- On top of the scoring , we also have to purchase festival rights to a couple of songs. Trust me the soundtrack is going to be great on this film.

PRACTICAL EFFECTS- I'm huge on doing practical effects as much as possible on set. I feel good practical effects really help propel the story and allow the audience to really believe whats going on in the films world. I have studied and worked with practical effect on many indie shoots. This is one of our bigger expenses for the shoot but will definitely be worth it in the end.

JP MORGAN- Detroit born Writer/Director

An avid fan of the horror genre with a soft spot for romantic film. JP set out to L.A with the dream of becoming a filmmaker and through networking and showing his talent he has in a short amount of time become not only a collaborator but fast friends with a wonderful group of like minded and creative filmmakers. He is passionate about his work and it shows. UNDEAD: a love story is going to be his first festival submitted film that is sure to set him on the fast track in film making.

DAN SMITH- Emmy Award winning Producer

With a BFA at Cal Arts in Film and Character Animation under his belt, Dan's innate knowledge and enthusiasm quickly launched his career in such roles as Director of Development, Director of Recruitment, Development Manager, and Lead Recruiter for a variety of companies including Hanna-Barbera Productions, Walt Disney Television Animation, Will Vinton Studios, Columbia Tri-Star Children's Programming, and finally Fox Television Animation where he was responsible for new talent and staffing requirements for Family Guy. With new technologies emerging and constant improvements within design, Smith's innate leadership propelled him to the role of Producer emerged at such companies as Yu+co, Virtue Play, Technicolor Interactive ,Dead Crow Pictures, Super 78, 3D Site, Infinity Ward, which added Call of Duty 2 to his credit. During this time, Smith also produced and directed the 2003 Interactive Achievement Awards. Dan is a proven leader with strong trouble-shooting skills allowing projects to remain focused and timely without sacrificing quality, excitement, or integrity.

MATT EASTON- Actor

Cast as the lead Brian in UNDEAD: a love story.  Matt has starred in The Plot to Kill Jesse James for the History Channel.  He has also worked on HBO's True Blood.  Since Matt moved to LA from Pittsburgh, he has been teaching acting here in Los Angeles for over five years. He also has received his Masters Degree from Rose Bruford College in England.

SARA STRINGFELLOW- Actress

Sara Stringfellow is a BFA trained actress from SMU’s Meadows Program with a triple focus in writing, acting, and directing.She is also a model, stage actress, and has completed over 17 films in the past few years.
