Help Empire Tea & Coffee add the finishing touches to their second location right near 1st Beach.
In September of 2004, Empire Tea & Coffee opened at 22 Broadway in Newport, Rhode Island.
From the start, our goal was to create the finest community coffee shop where high-‐ quality coffee, tea, and espresso products were expected.
Over the past eight years, we’ve watched our community grow; we’ve made a lot of friends and hosted hundreds of events to bring people together.
Now, we are starting the whole process over again. We’ve committed to opening our second café, but this time we want to do it differently. Before we open the doors to the public, we want to have the tools to best serve our customers...and we are looking for your help to do it.
The purpose of this project is to raise money so we can build a coffee cupping bar, finish the lighting design, and secure an espresso machine. To make this a true community-‐oriented project, we’ve asked local artisans to provide interior design components and promotional materials. The funds we raise will help us purchase this equipment and pay all the local artists involved.
For those of you who want to lend a hand in making this dream a reality, we’re offering a lot of great rewards (check them out to your right). Our favorite is the new Coffee Addict T-shirt design from our friend Sasha. It has a great print on the front with our name on the back.
We appreciate any of the support you can give – either backing our project, or by spreading the word to friends and family members. With your help, we will create a new coffee house that can be your home away from home; where the baristas know your name and you can expect nothing but the finest products.
