Hardcover Dummy Preview
Yesterday I received some 'dummy copies' from Regent Publishing Services, the company I'll be working with to print Ellie Connelly volume 1. These blank books are used to preview paper stock and finishing options, and were provided to give me an idea of what the finished books would look and feel like. I thought you'd like to take a look at the hardcover (which will only be available through this project if it is fully funded):
It's an 8.5" x 11.25" book block, the same as will be used in the softcover, and the hardcover extends a bit beyond that, so it's a nice hefty book that will stand up nicely among any other european-format comic albums you have! I'm keeping this on my desk as inspiration to get these pages finished quickly — I want to see this hardcover filled with Ellie Connelly one day soon!
