The Diamond Club was written as a parody of erotic fiction. I sincerely believe that erotica can be a powerful source of pleasure, arousal and catharsis. I'd love to see CrowdSourced Erotica become a whole subgenre of erotic fiction, where erotic entertainment is sourced not from one individual's fantasy but from the collective pulse of human eroticism. You’ll get a vote in the sexual adventures of our heroine, shaping the story as it unfolds, contributing ideas, artwork and language. About Tabula Rasa: A Crowdsourced Erotic Novel

We begin with a blank slate.

A young woman wakes up in a hotel room, in the afterglow of a life-changing sexual event. 

• Who has been in bed with her? 
• What is in that suitcase? 
• What exactly happened last night? 
• Where does she go next?

Those details are up to you, and our crowd of co-authors as we dive into creating the erotic adventures of our yet-unnamed heroine.

How We Will Write This Crowdsourced Erotic Fiction Novel

We’ll begin with a name, a place, and a few mysterious details, revealed only by your votes. Then we’ll turn our heroine out into the erotic wilderness, and her fate will be in your hands!

Every week, you will receive a new chapter of at least 1,000 words, crafted around the details voted upon by the crowd. At the end of each chapter, you’ll vote on 3-5 questions that will determine what happens next.

Together we will write at least 10 chapters, journeying with our heroine on sexual adventures limited only by our collective imagination. After 10 chapters, we’ll let the story find its own conclusion, and of course will be voting on the dramatic finish. Will our heroine perish or triumph? Become queen of her own desires or bow at the feet of her new master?

Participants will also be invited to submit illustrations, written passages, video adaptations, even grammatical corrections if discovered. You are invited, with all of your gifts and talents, to make this not only the world’s first crowdsourced erotic novel, but a multi-media event.

When the book is complete, it will be published as an ebook on the kindle platform, available for anyone to read. The author page will proudly be one of the longest in history: the real or super-secret-code name of every backer of this Kickstarter project!

If we love the process, perhaps we will start a second book! Will it be a sequel or a new book entirely? We await your vote to find out.

Hey Everyone! I am so excited about this project, and I get to work on a lot of fabulous projects as a full time online media sex educator! Please kick in and join me - I'd love to see at least 1,000 participants from at least 12 countries! We welcome everyone to participate: ages 18 and up, men and women, from all around the world!

I have dedicated my life’s work to sexuality. I was that girl in high school that everyone came to with sex questions, offering playground lessons and then scampering off to the sexuality aisle of my local library to learn everything I could. 

At Vassar College, I started SQUIRM, the first student-run sex magazine. It was so successful we provided a template for over 10 other college magazines, including Harvard’s notorious H-Bomb. As literary editor I was essentially crowdsourcing that magazine from my college peers, pulling together a collective vision of our experience of campus sexuality. I couldn’t tell if my mom was proud or embarrassed when we got written up in the Wall St. Journal under the headline “Go to College, Learn the Skin Trade” Graduating with highest honors definitely helped my argument that formally studying human sexuality was the right choice for me.

After college I drove solo to San Francisco, where I was invited by my mentor Annie Sprinkle to work alongside her, and soon she introduced me to the pantheon of sex educators. I immediately went to work teaching sex workshops, completing thousands of hours of massage and sex training while exploring the sexual subcultures of San Francisco. I am grateful for these years of wild exploration, as I was able to personally witness so many kinds of sexuality, from “energy orgasms” of the tantra world to the heaviest BDSM scenes and everything in between. Meanwhile, personally coaching and training hundreds of men, women and couples in workshops gave me incredible insights into desire, sexual expression and yearning.

For the past five years I have been working with my beloved partner Charlotte as The Pleasure Mechanics, focused on teaching the physical skills of sexual pleasure. We have 8 Amazon-bestselling video guides, 3 ebooks and a growing YouTube channel. Our videos cover how to touch every inch of your lover’s body, head to toe. We’ve reached millions of men and women in over 56 countries around the world. Teaching sex through digital media is my dream come true - the marriage of my greatest passions, eroticism and technology.

The idea for crowdsourced erotica came to me recently and I haven’t been able to shake it. I loved choose-your-own-adventure books as a kid, and I am constantly inspired by the erotic diversity of human beings. I have been lucky enough to have personal insight into the sex lives of tens of thousands of people, so I know well what diverse erotic creatures we are. What each individual finds arousing is impossible to predict and endlessly fascinating. Erotica is an amazing way to explore sexuality, each page a new possibility.

What would happen if we opened up the writing process to our collective imagination? What will the range of responses be to each twist and turn in our heroine’s adventures? How will the story reflect the shared turn-ons and yet be energized by the diversity of desires of the crowd?
