YOU, YOU, YOU (big echoing voice) can HELP make a once in a lifetime opportunity for us come true.
Background: The Beautiful Bodies is an unsigned band from Kansas City, MO. We’ve spent the past few years writing a batch of songs that we are really proud of…I know it sounds hokey, but we are excited about them. We now have an incredible opportunity to record these songs with mutli-platinum selling producer John Feldmann (The Used, Panic at the Disco, Good Charlotte, Neon Trees…and for you Disney lovers, Hilary Duff). Producers like John rarely work with unsigned bands like us, so it truly is a special opportunity we have. Here’s the kicker: It’s going to cost a bunch of money to record. We’ve been playing show after show, saving all our pennies, but we still need quite a bit, hence we started a Kickstarter.
How it Works: We are asking our fans, friends, music lovers, and all around awesome people to be part of this project with us. Through Kickstarter, you can pledge money toward the recording of the album. It only takes 2 minutes. Those of you who pledge get some of the fun rewards you see to the side. More importantly, you get to be a part of an album that is very special to us. It is a record made by YOU and US.
We are asking for a minimum of $10,000 to make this record. We will be traveling to Los Angeles and recording for about a month. Frankly, we will need a lot more than $10,000 to cover our travel, lodging, studio, and producer costs, so it would be AMAZING if we go beyond our goal. Every cent earned from Kickstarter is going toward the completion of the record.
Yikes: If we do not reach our goal of $10,000, we get NONE of the money that has been raised. That means that this record is literally in your hands!
How you Can Help:
- Please donate anything you can. Anything helps, and having you part of this – even if you only give $1 – is special to us.
- Spread the word! Tell your friends, estranged cousins, the cute guy at the coffee shop about the project. Post our link on facebook, twitter, Xanga, messenger pigeon (Don’t hurt the pigeon though). You are key to the success of the campaign.
