Patent #2

Our File: ND-009 - Open Source Multiple App Exchange Portal between App Device and Smart-Watch Serial No.: 61/8XXXX Filing Date: 9/11/2013 Re: Filing Receipt from U.S. Patent & Trademark Office

Our law office has received the official Filing Receipt for your patent application. Your official filing date is 9/11/2013. This information identifies your patent application with the USPTO and should not be disclosed to third-parties without consulting with us first. Please examine the receipt carefully, and notify me immediately of any errors or needed corrections so that we may promptly request correction. The “License for Foreign Filing” indicates that you may now file foreign patent applications if you desire. Please keep in mind that you only have one-year from the earliest application filing date to file a patent application in most foreign countries or an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) if you want to claim priority. We will attempt to notify you in advance of this one-year deadline, but if you do not hear from us within three months of the one-year anniversary please make sure to contact us if you are interested in filing for foreign patent protection. If you do not want to be notified of the one-year foreign filing deadline, please provide us written notice within the next thirty days. Since this is a provisional patent application, this application will automatically become abandoned one-year after 9/11/2013 and cannot be revived. If you want to maintain the benefit of your earlier filing date, you will need to file a formal patent application during the pendency of this patent application. Please provide us advance notice of at least three-months before this deadline if you would like to proceed with a formal patent application. Thanks.

      these arent even patents of their apps for that matter. they're pictures of a date on paper. it could be from anything. Great job at posting non-information once again.

      @Vak

      These are patents for the app portal and the charger. Not the watch itself.

      One simple question: Did you and your team design the *watch*? I am trying to determine if you are attempting to improve an already existing product. Your front page presentation strongly implied that *all* of this was the design of you and your partners.

      Wow, what a way to earn the trust of the people you are asking money from. I can post a pic of the same thing, which means nothing. Try again.

      Pardon my French but this is absolutely f'in ridiculous.... I can take a photo of a date and try to pass it off for legit info too.... Do yourself and everyone else here a favor and withdraw your kickstarter campaign until you can sort yourself out

      Could you provide a picture of the provisional application with the meat of it blacked out so that any official logos or signatures are present? Having evidence of a provisional patent application would help assuage some doubts. I wouldn't think having a standard application with all but the date, your company name, and acceptance signature or something to show to us would be something your lawyers would object to.

      Easy answers. Patents are very expensive. Cost of project = Design, Molding Cost, Software Development, CNC machines, Prototyping... the list of time and money goes on.

      You do realize this provides us with 0 reason to trust you right? You can take a picture of the document and black out stuff like serial numbers etc, but to take a picture of 3 words? Are you kidding me?

      This is also a provisional patent application. Why not get a real application? This does not protect your rights to the product in any way.

      "Provisional patent applications can be filed at many patent offices, such as the USPTO in the U.S. A provisional application provides an opportunity to place an application on file to obtain a filing date (thereby securing a priority date), but without the expense and complexity of a standard patent application. The disclosure in a provisional application may, within a limited time (one year in the U.S.), be incorporated into a standard patent application if a patent is to be pursued. Otherwise, the provisional application expires. No enforceable rights can be obtained solely through the filing of a provisional application."

      So basically it's a cheap way of showing interest in filing a patent application. So you don't actually have any patents, or even have applied for patents yet...

      Maybe I am misunderstanding or you provided the wrong info, but so far it does nothing to assuage my doubts.
