To our beloved backers:

It has been much too long since our last update, and for that I sincerely apologize. I also apologize for the lengthy delay in delivering your incentives, and cannot thank you all enough for your patience. With senior year hitting most of the team members in full force, it’s taken a bit longer than expected to fulfill our promises to you all. But don’t worry—we are still committed to the work we began, and thanks to the incredible talent and hard work of our filmmaker, Averi Israel, the documentary is in its final stages of production. Once it is reviewed by the staff at ChildVoice and given its finishing touches, we’ll be sending it your way (in addition to holding screenings as planned--see update from August). In order to cut down on costs, we’ll be sending any additional incentives you earned together with your copy of the documentary. If you haven’t already filled out the survey we sent to you regarding your address, please do so! I’ve also been in touch with the groups we worked with during our stay, and ideas for other ways Tuzina’s supporters can get involved are in the works. Stay tuned for updates to our website!

One year ago, Tuzina’s trip to Uganda was still a vision. You made it a reality. As we ring in the year 2013, I look back at the past year with immense gratitude toward each and every one of you who believed in and supported us. I look forward to sharing with you the stories of the beautiful people we met in Uganda. I am eager to continue to work together, both with the community of Gulu and our support network here in the states, in order to fulfill our shared vision of using the arts to promote renewal for the children of Northern Uganda.

Thank you again for your patience. We remain humbled by and thankful for your continued support.
