I just wanted to let everyone know that we are still working hard! It has been a while since the last update here on Kickstarter, and wanted to let everyone know that you can find more regular updates in a few places:
Our development blog | Facebook | Twitter
There are some exciting updates forthcoming. Be sure to keep in touch!
Update #8: How are your shirts?
Update #7: YOUR INCENTIVES ARE READY!
Update #6: High Strangeness Soundtrack Preview
Update #4: 100%
We did it!
Thank you all SO MUCH! Seriously, I can't explain how excited I am.
Since we're funded, this means that the production of all of your pledge incentives will be happening in the near future. I'll be contacting each backer to find out shipping information, shirt sizes, etc very soon.
We'll also be allowing more backers until August 17th, to give other interested folks an opportunity to back our project.
Once again, THANK YOU! You've helped dreams come true.

Update #3: 90%
Our project is over 90% funded, and I can't believe it. Thanks, again to all of our backers! Good things are in store for everyone.
Updates:
1>Our team has added a new member, Ben Shostak, who will be taking on the role of Lead Programmer. His past projects have been epic, and I can't wait to see the end result of his efforts for High Strangeness.
2>For those of you pledging towards the limited edition High Strangeness soundtrack, we've decided to put together a little demo of the music that you'll be receiving once the game is complete. This demo will be delivered soon after the funding period is over. Expect new, and exclusive tracks from Rich Vreeland / Disasterpeace.
3>Mobile gamers should get excited. We've been discussing the possibility of porting High Strangeness to the iPhone. More info on this in the future.
If you'd like to stay more frequently updated on the work we're doing, feel free to follow us on Twitter.
Thanks again to all of our backers!
Update #2: 75%
My amazement at the generosity of others continues to grow. Thanks so much to all of those who have backed our project! We're 75% funded and hopefully 100% is right around the corner!
In honor of this great milestone, I'd like you to meet some of the folks from High Strangeness:
Boyd
Boyd is the main character of the game. He lives in a small town, and makes daily visits to his local beer store.
Abydos
Abydos is Boyd's cat. He's something of a loner, and often treats himself to long walks in the middle of the night.
Anna
Anna works with Boyd at the local music store. She's always been supportive of Boyd, even when things get tough.
Jacob
Jacob is Anna's father. He's a famous scholar, and never passes up an opportunity to share his wisdom with others.
Also, stories about Kickstarter, and High Strangeness have appeared on some really awesome gaming sites. One on GameSetWatch and another on Destructoid. Thanks, Kickstarter!
Stay tuned for more updates! And thanks again to all of those who have helped out!

Update #1: 50%
Hey all of you fine folks who have backed High Strangeness-
I can't begin to explain the great sense of gratitude I'm feeling. I'm thankful for all of your pledges, and can't wait until we hit 100%. I might film a video of myself crying, and upload it so that you'll all be able to see how happy I will be.
I've had a lot of questions about the game, and wanted to fill everybody in with a few details. However, I don't want to give too much away...
Item #1: The game's title, "High Strangeness" is a term coined by Linda Moulton Howe, in her book "Glimpses of Other Realities: High Strangeness" (which documents what some might call 'the real life X-Files'). I would recommend the book to those interested in paranormal happenings.
One website defines "High Strangeness" as:
"The inexplicable effects and synchronicity of events related to and occurring before, during, and after UFO or extraterrestrial encounters." -cosmicparadigm.com
The term "Strangeness" is also used in the field of Physics to refer to a variety of confusing situations like irregularly moving particles. The term "Strange Loop" refers to a situation where one perceives that they are moving away from their point of origin, when in fact, they are returning to it. Kind of like how a clock's little hand is always moving towards, and away from 12.
This is real nerdy stuff. Kind of like video games.
You now might be able to ascertain some things about the game's plot.
Item #2: Some people don't understand why we've decided the call High Strangeness a 12bit game. Simply put, it's visual aesthetics lie somewhere between that of 8bit (Nintendo) and 16bit (Super Nintendo).
Item #3: Our team is hard at work. I've been writing and drawing away, trying to make the pixels look perfect and the words sound spectacular. Sam has been making some really incredible illustrations, putting his fine art skills to maximum use. Rich has been composing some really incredible tunes, to make the other worlds in our game come to life.
For those of you pledging enough to get the limited edition High Strangeness soundtrack, here's a sneak peak:
A Single Ray of Light
You may have heard the song while watching the intro video (on our site, or on the Kickstarter page), but I guarantee that your iPod will smile when you download it, knowing that it will be fed some really good music.
I'd like to end by saying THANKS again! Seriously.

I'd just like to say that you're really lucky to have Rich on your team in this. He's an incredible musician, whose music is how I found out about this project. If the other members are as good at their craft as he is at his, this is going to be a really fantastic video game (and it sounds great so far!) I share your enthusiasm in wanting to see this take off and get into full-swing development.... Obviously. :P

@Curt: You're definitely right about Rich's abilities. I sometimes wonder if his hands have magic in them. The same goes for the rest of our team. If you haven't yet checked out Sam's artwork, you should (http://sambennett.deviantart.com/)! I doubt you'll be disappointed with the final result of our efforts!
