@TW, before doing anything rash, let's start with the basics. Forget following any reward links here for a minute. Are you able to go to bigfinishgames.com and simply log in? If you can't log in, then contact them and ask if you are signed up at all. It might just be a simple solution to the problem you are having. If you can log into big finish, you can access the blog. However, to access the download section you need a specific password that was sent out months ago. If you didn't get that email let the team at BFG know. We are a pretty reasonable lot here, and are definitely willing to help you if you are stuck. Just ask away.

Also, there is no way to make rewards available via kickstarter. Kickstarter does not have an infrastructure for project creators to upload and publish downloadable rewards. They are responsible to provide them on their own site, which they have. You just choose not follow instructions or contact support for help.

OK, another tiered benefit they are failing to provide through Kickstarter. As a $75 backer, I'm supposed to get this Plan 9 thing as a reward. As usual, it's locked behind their website paywall and not available via Kickstarter. This has gone on far enough, where I'm explicitly not being provided items I paid for, that now I'm now going to my credit card company and requesting a charge back for a fraudulent transaction.

Yeah, their communication has been excellent, but I guess they don't want to spam Kickstarter updates. Most of the projects I've backed have kept the KS updates pretty minimal, although some aren't much better on their other sites, either.

But would it be worth it? Shoehorned in Rift support with flat 2D video hovering in front of you would not be a great use of the technology.

The FMV and the on-screen interface would probably make good Rift support impossible. You could probably do SOMETHING, but it would be a waste of time.

I'd like to see a Rift game in this sort of first-person detective genre, though. Looking around for clues is a mode that lends itself very nicely to this kind of thing.

Is anyone else thinking Fedora + Rift could be mega awesome? I know there is basic compatibility betwixt Unity and Rift... but here's hoping that Big Finish is getting one and will take basic steps to ensure that it's awesome.

I get that it's confusing and unintuitive, but I just explained to you how to do it, so why don't you give it a try before you give up?

The physical items aren't going out until later so they can ship them all at once to save on shipping. They're actually ordering all the shirts next week.

Whatever it is, I can't get through it. Did these assholes ever even send out the pledge items that required physical delivery? I'm owed a shirt with a delivery date that says October 2012, and I have nothing here in March 2013. I'm pretty certain at this point that my $75 pledge isn't even going to get me the game if it every actually comes out.

T W: It's not a pay wall, they've just done done a horrendous job of making the site self-explanatory.

All you have to do is sign up for the forums with the same email you used to back the Kickstarter. Once you're logged in, you can go to the download section. It'll want another (different) password to log in to this page, but you can just have it re-send that if you missed it.

It's really pretty ridiculous that there is NOTHING on that page telling people to sign up to the forum with the KS email. They did explain it in emails, but it should be written clearly on the page, too.

@T W - All the good stuff is there on the Big Finish Games website. The thing that hangs some folks up is that there is a separate password that is needed to get to the download section. Mine was sent to me on 10/10/12 back when the first download was made available so look for an e-mail from them back then. If you are getting the e-mails now, should mean you got one then. Also see Shane's comment below on clicking on the "Mutant Member's League" badge...best of luck!

@Tobi, the pics are not in the forums per se. You have to go into the backers blog and you will find all kinds of goodies. When you first log in on Big Finish Games do you have a badge that says "member mutant league" on your profile? Click on it and it should link you to a page where you have a choice of entering the blog or download section. Click the blog in yellow/brown letters and you should be in. Scroll down and you will find loads of great photos. Cheers.

Frodo: No this is just a bonus soundtrack download of the whole series to date. It's not one of the listed rewards, it's just an extra present they decided to put out for all $15+ backers.

As with the other downloads, to get it, you need to be signed up on the bigfinishgames.com site with the same email you used for your kickstarter, and then log in to the download section with another password that was sent to your email (you can tell it to re-send if you missed it, don't worry)

Also, if you sign up on Big Finish's site, they have regular production updates. They just finished principal photography with just a few things left to shoot in April, and they have a good number of the game environments up and playable, and some of the high-level backers have even gotten to play it. Seems like everything's going very well.
