Kickstarter

West End is located in Northeast Ohio in a small city called Ashtabula. It was started by 3 young friends who all agreed that people should have a place to see bands play without the bar environment. In October 2010, they found spot that was perfect. The keys were handed over, and the remodeling began. The first show was in Mid December and had a great turnout, and has been doing well ever since. West End is approved of by a lot of the people in the city. Parents love it because it's safe for their kids. 

Up until a few months ago, West End has never had any cosmetic problems. After a huge windstorm, a huge part of the rubber layer of the roof became separated allowing tons of water to seep through the cracks, holes and vents of the roof. This has caused many issues with the ceilings, walls and carpet.

The main goal with this Kickstarter is to continue showing people that there is more to music than Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and other stuff that is constantly repeated throughout the radio. A lot of these bands that come through have positive messages and more people should be involved with what they have to say! With the money raised, we would continue having shows that cost very little for the admission, just to be divided amongst the bands. As well as put on events such as skate competitions, basketball tournaments and more! Our town is a very boring town to many younger people. We are trying to change that.

This Kickstarter would also cover all the roof, ceiling and wall repairs that we really need. Anyone that has ever been involved with underground music, shows etc. knows how stressful and money fueled, tasks like these are. With all the repairs done, many more shows would continue to happen here. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
