About this project

Wooooow. Everybody has been amazing! We have already reached our goal with a lot of time to spare, but we are definitely going to keep pushing. In truth, making an album from start to finish costs significantly more than our goal, which we set in place in the hopes that we would get help with a portion of the process (pressing and publicity, to be specific). You guys have been shockingly generous, and we hope you will continue to be generous until the project ends on November 14th! We are determined to make the new album our best work yet, and with your help its looking more and more possible to shoot for the stars. THANK YOU! Keep passing along the link until November 14th!

Hey everybody! This fall, we, The XYZ Affair, will be heading into the studio to record our second ever full length album. It's been a whopping THREE YEARS since our first full length, and we have accomplished quite a bit in that time. We've toured the entire country a few times (and killed a couple of vans in the process), released some EPs, and made a couple of music videos (one even had bona fide 90's Nickelodoen celebrities in it! XYZ has always been a 100% independent band, and things can get a bit pricey when it comes to recording, making videos, etc. As we made the decision to record a full length, the choices before us were as follows:

1) Record a full length album
2) Continue to eat food regularly

Then we found out about Kickstarter! We have been fortunate enough to have amazing support from our friends, fans, and family throughout this band's existence, and we are asking for your support one more time. The more help we can get, the more we can guarantee that this thing will be done right: from recording, mixing, and mastering, to pressing amazing looking CDs, to making music videos for our new songs, to hiring a publicist to really get the album out there. This is a big process, one which we are greatly looking forward to undertaking, and one for which your help would mean the world to us.

We've set up a system of rewards, ranging from a free digital copy of the EP all the way to XYZ playing at your child's major life cycle event! Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Debutante Balls, Sweet Sixteens, Anything!
