Update #13: Float Wall Desk Inspired by Botanist Minimal Bench
Hello fellow Botanist Minimal backers, hope all is going well for you.I'm reaching out to let you know about some very exciting news!My Float Desk Concept, thats inspired by the Botanist Bench, was selected from 580 submissions for potential global production by DWR.
My design is now in the public voting stages until the May 21st.

Update #12: We've re-launched SOLID & CATCH with reduced pricing and FREE Shipping!
Hi folks,
As you may be aware our 2nd project SOLID & CATCH was not successfully funded so we went back and re-tooled. This is the beauty of a platform like Kickstarter. It allows us to make adjustments that consider feedback from real customers.
The main concern from most backers was the high price for this type of product. With that advice we've gone back to our fabrication partner and negotiated better rates. So please, log back in and Re-plege for Solid & Catch and take advantage of the price reduction and FREE Shipping!
Also, we ask that you take a moment and share your enthusiasm for our project with your social networks. The more we spread the word the more likely we can bring these two unique products to market. We created a comedic video to help it go viral and all of you are the first step in that process.

Update #11: Orange22 Launches 2nd Project on Kickstarter just in time for the Holidays
Dear Backers,

Patrick - I've had 3 different folks send me emails to both address successfully. Not sure what the issue is but from our end it seems to be working perfectly. What issue are you having ? Did you not receive your bench ? or are you interested in our new Solid and Catch project ?

Update #10: Botanist Benches Shipping Now
Great news, all benches have passed customs and are officially in inventory at our LA warehouse. Benches began shipping out yesterday. Please keep an eye out for an email from Mohan, our order administrator on this project, to confirm your ship to address.
All of you who have been patiently waiting for your new Botanist Minimal Bench will have it in your home by the close of next week!

Update #9: 2nd Shipment has arrived

We've received quite a bit of inquiries on a status report sorry for the delay.
Here's the scoop, our first 20ft container arrived and all the products have been shipped out to the first 50+ customers. The 2nd 40ft container has arrived (photos below). Here's an overview;

By the age of 10, while other kids were memorizing baseball statistics, Antonioni was devouring books on the Wright Brothers. Even then, Antonioni was amazed not so much by that first flight itself—but by the fact that two nobody bicycle mechanics had the effrontery to revolutionize a field so far beyond their area of expertise that they almost had no business being there.
"They were innovators who didn't follow a standard path," says Antonioni. "They followed intuition—even if it meant they didn't know where they'd end up, and they were relentless. To me, that's innovation."
Today, the founder of the Los Angeles design lab Orange22 still takes his cue from those aviators, refusing to abide by the often fiercely guarded distinctions between disciplines in design. He calls himself a "maker of things"—a purposefully open-ended description, as Orange22 designs and fabricates both mass-market and limited-edition objects and furniture, brand-defining retail environments, residential interiors and design concepts licensed for mass production. In every case, Antonioni fuses technology, art and design, with the overarching intent to revolutionize the way we live.
Antonioni's work has received awards from RedDot, IDEA, Good Design, Spark, Surface, Contract Magazine and been nominated for the People's Choice Award by the Cooper Hewitt. His work has been exhibited in NY, SF, Chicago, Paris, Cologne, Milan, Sydney, and Singapore. He currently lives and works in Playa Vista, California with his wife, baby girl and two dogs.
This is definitely the best of the final 10 designs. I hope to see it at my local DWR soon. It also would be cool to have a metal version with some hooks and/or drawers underneath to use as a work surface in the garden or in the garage. (But maybe that would be too heavy to mount on a wall?) I also have a strange urge to attach the float desk to some rails to allow it to slide up and down so that I can use it sitting or standing (or maybe lower it really low so that I can sit back on the couch and watch TV or play games on that big monitor that's sitting on it).
