THE YOGASM was born from several ideas that merged easily together. I practice yoga on a daily basis, I have three daughters, I believe in equal rights, and I love to laugh! Place these values into a contest that would allow a lowly writer like me to experience his work to completion (something a screenwriter rarely gets to see) and the result will be a finished 10 minute short. I am flattered beyond belief that I won a contest that can see my script made into a film then shown in a world premiere at a huge theater!

The money raised here on Kickstarter will go directly toward making THE YOGASM. We need everything from permits to pizza in order to pull this off, so any contribution will be happily accepted. 

The story revolves around a young womanizer named Les, and his ballin' buddy, Hal. Together they have formed a tag team approach to getting sex, and they are happily hunting at their favorite hangout when the movie opens. It's a hot summer day and the action gets hotter when two cuties arrive from a yoga class. Les overhears them discuss with Kali, a waitress, how really "hot" their class is, and when he asks Kali about the "new hot spot in town" she tells the boys to forget about it; its out of their league. A wager ensues. If Les can withstand the rigors of just one class, Kali will buy them their next meal. If, however, he cannot make it through a class without walking out, then he and Hal (along with their prehistoric values) must find a new hunting ground!

The rest of the story finds Les struggling with his yoga and wanting to give up, but Kali's humanity won't allow this to happen, so she helps get Les through the class and into a large measure of self-respect.

THE YOGASM is not heavily laced with "new age" thoughts or verbage, nor and is it intended to sway anyone toward a yogic pathway as many such films attempt. It is, however, a great story of struggling to succeed and how, sometimes, we can bite off more than we can chew.
