About this project
Flesheaters Anonymous tells the story of one man's struggle with the horrors of addicition. Despite the fact that his uncontrollable urges led to being abandoned by his friends, family, and fiancee, Rick Ashmore cannot manage to stop feeding on living humans. In the rooms of FA, Flesheaters Anonymous-- a support group for recovering zombies, Rick must learn to let go of everything he knows and take life one day at a time. Failure to find success in this program will lead to the certain death that is relapse. This film is meant to combine the harsh realities of what a real addict faces on a day at a time basis with the lethal consequences of being a zombie. We feel that this is a story that needs to be told to both entertain those familiar with the circumstances of addiction and recovery, as well as to provide a parallel between zombie-ism and addiction for everyone to enjoy.
Flesheaters Anonymous is a film 2 years in the making; director Montica Pes and writer Jon DuBos have been working on the film in one form or another since 2009. Joining forces with producer Rob Beams, they are finally ready to get this film on the screen. That's where you come in. Why $10,000? Movies are expensive. This money will not cover the intended costs that we need to make this film. Frankly, we need a lot more money than this to actually make this movie. However, we want this movie to be made. For $10,000, we can tell this story. But is that where we limit ourselves? No. We want this story to be told the right way. We are looking for every method we can to raise the money that we're looking for to make this film. The money raised here will ensure that this film WILL be made.

Montica Pes is a director, writer, photographer and producer. She comes from a long line of southern storytellers and dreamers, who know no other way. Monty started directing theater at the age of 19 and began working in film in 2008. She has founded several successful partnerships and critically-lauded companies seeking to tell visceral stories.
PesDuBeams is a production company founded in 2010 by director Montica Pes, writer Jon DuBos, and producer Rob Beams. The company formed when long-time collaborators Montica and Rob (who worked together on various productions with the theater company VisionQuest) merged with a newly formed partnership between Montica and Jon (who worked on a few shorts under the umbrella "Pesfu & The Breck Girl"). Grounded in their common desire for innovative cinema and a compulsive need to feed on live human flesh, PesDuBeams is committed to creating this original, dark, and oddly realistic world in which flesheaters can find that there is help for them through the fellowship of Flesheaters Anonymous.
