www.kalimbaradio.com's founder, Kef Ventress Marks, is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a graduate of McMain Magnet Secondary School, and the University of Southern California.

An avid writer since elementary school, his first published poem appeared in the Catalyst Magazine in 1989. Kef has worked in marketing and has 10 years of progressive marketing experience in the Los Angeles area. His hobbies include: music, classic movies, literature, writing, science fiction and seafood! His favorite directors are Stanley Kubrick and Billy Wilder. His literary hero is Langston Hughes. His favorite group is Earth, Wind & Fire. He is the proud Dad of an 18 month American Bulldog: "Zoie". Kef's favorite Superhero is Thor Odinson, God of Thunder, Prince of Asgard. His creative goal is to make a radio station that entertains AND educates!!
