The VariLight Flashlight measures 7.25 in (184 mm) long and has an estimated weight of 18 oz (510 g) with batteries. Color Cones (shown below) are available for specific Aircraft Marshaling and Law Enforcement uses, among others.

Our goal is to offer this water resistant flashlight to the Law Enforcement, Aircraft Marshals, and Search and Rescue agencies, as well as a safety tool for families, adventurers and more! The adjustable focus beam allows for sight at a greater distance in the dark and the light settings allow for functional versatility.

A Flashlight for the Law Enforcement

Law Enforcement officials typically use a Maglite TM for its reliability and size. Unfortunately, the Maglite TM has one setting with only a slight variation in the beam width.

What if there was a flashlight with the same reliability as a Maglite TM and allowed for adjustable beam focusing, for close vs distant inspection, variable light strength settings for reading in a dark vehicle vs searching in the dark and optional color cones to create a water resistant flare which lasts 7 hours?

The VariLight flashlight is designed to do just this. It is for the working professional to use on the job. Engineer and entrepreneur, Rene Teo, created VariLight and is launching a crowdfunding campaign that begins on February 1, 2012 on Kickstarter to find backers who would like to be a part in getting VariLight off the ground.
