Update #8: The Post Production Continues
I have a music supervisor, Michael Greer O'Shea music producer at Solotechne Records. I have also been working with Bryan Matthew Warren on computer animation and graphics. Jamie Byrd, my soon to be editor, just got back from South America where she was working on her own documentary and we're meeting up on Friday. Things are moving along for the project.
In bigger news the CTS site was just accepted onto the National Priority List! This is huge! This means the site is a big priority for the EPA. This is what's supposed to get the site cleaned. I say "supposed to" because I've been hearing from residents that they will not be getting hooked up to city water like they need. I think the latest is that filtration systems will be put in homes as soon as the residents sign off on it. I imagine this will be a long process and the battling with no doubt continue. I do feel like this is a step in the right direction and I'll be following the developments and let you know what happens.
While my editor is working on cutting the documentary, I'm going to be making a completely different movie this summer, a comedy feature film called "Touched by Angels." If you're interested, you can see the campaign here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/233019965/touched-by-angels-feature-film
Thank you all for your continued support and patience with this project. I'll be updating as I'm able and hopefully you'll be getting your copies of the documentary by the end of summer.
Thank you,
Katie
Update #7: Thank you! We're done, but it's not over.
Success! We did it! 104% funded by 85 people! Everyone who pledged played a part in making this happen. I’m so grateful to my friends and family who helped and also to the complete strangers who contributed. Because of your contributions, I’m able to move forward and get this documentary finished. Seeing so many people come together for a common good is wonderful. Thank you for doing your part to help make this documentary happen and for supporting independent filmmaking.
As I get closer to completion, look for a survey I’ll be sending out to get information on how you’d like your name to appear in thank you credits and shipping information for those of you getting a copy of the movie shipped to you. Just as you’ve shared this campaign with others, I hope that you will share the documentary with others and help inform your friends and family about this important issue.
Now it’s back to the grindstone. My goal is to have this documentary finished by this summer in time for some big film festival deadlines. I’ll be sending out copies as soon as it’s finished and if I have anything significant to share, I’ll be posting updates here on kickstarter to keep you all in the loop. Thank you everyone for your support! Time to push forward.
With Gratitude and Thanks,
Katie

It is imperative to get this story out.. This is the story of systemic failures at every level of our governmental agencies. It is not limited to Asheville, Buncombe County... it is widespread, it is pervasive and we need to shed light on the travesty that has occurred, is occurring and will continue to occur. It is us today, but it might be you tomorrow- Please sign on and pledge whatever you can-
Thanks-
TM
