With your help, we are hoping to raise $3000 in 60 days for our VERY FIRST album.
In the Fall of 2008, two male students enrolled in the University of North Texas and wanted to be a part of a musical experience that could only be found in their collegiate years. Thus, UNT’s only premier co-ed A Cappella ensemble, the UNT Green Tones, were born.
We are excited to be joining Kickstarter for the first time in the hopes of creating our very first album. An album is something we have been dreaming of accomplishing since the group was created. Our hopes in producing this album are to first and foremost spread the word and music of the Green Tones. Along the way, we also hope to make people more aware of A Cappella music and represent the University of North Texas.
The Green Tones are made up of all different walks of life with unique backgrounds and interests. We are made up of everything from music, theater, hospitality, English, communication, and RTVF majors, just to name a few. For those of us who are not music majors, being in the group gives us the opportunity to still enjoy and participate in creating beautiful music. We all share a common love of music which runs deep through our veins; whether the experience comes from years of experience in church, school, recreational, or professional choirs, our backgrounds are extensive and help give us the talent to arrange our own music.
We promise that we will make a quality album, something you would be proud to buy. Our work ethic in practice is perfection and correcting even the smallest of errors, which we will carry over into our recording. We thought long and hard about how much money we should try and raise and how attainable our goal would be to reach in 60 days, but through your support and friendship, we know that you can make our goal a reality. We appreciate everything you have to offer, through your support, friendship, and monetary donations. We want YOU, our friends, family, and fans, to know that without your help, none of this would be possible and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
