Thank you!
Dear Kickstarters,
We successfully wrapped up the fundraising campaign with over 830 backers and more than $25,000 in contributions. Only a few hundred Kickstarter projects (out of the more 41,000 to date) have seen this level of response. We’re so grateful for your financial support and your help spreading the word!
At OpenPlans we consider ourselves civil servants. We’re a non-profit but we work with and for government. And whether we’re building bus trackers, trip planners or tools for civic participation it’s your taxes and transit fares that pay our salaries.
This project is an expansion of that relationship.
Thanks to your support via Kickstarter, we now have the opportunity to work with you directly. In the coming weeks we’ll be looking for your input and exploring new ways to collaborate as the project evolves.
We are also grateful to our colleagues at TriMet for their vision to create an open source trip planner, and to the many companies and individuals around the world that have contributed both money and time to the project over the last three years. It is because of them that we at OpenPlans are able to begin this next phase of the project. We look forward to their continued involvement and we welcome you to this community.
Thanks again for the support and we look forward to working with you in the weeks ahead!
