OpenTripPlanner live in Portland

Update #2 · Aug 7, 2012 · comment

Kickstarters,

We're excited to announce that TriMet's OpenTripPlanner (OTP) instance for the Portland metro area is now in production use! We've enjoyed working closely with TriMet over the last three years to develop the first open source multi-modal trip planner. Their system has been in "beta" since last fall and has already received a bit of attention. Try it out: ride.trimet.org

Now OpenPlans is working to bring this same technology to transit users everywhere!

In other news: we're just about to release our bike/bikeshare only trip planner for the Washington, DC area. We're still putting the finishing touches on the system but you can get a special sneak peek here: bikeplanner.org

Thanks again for your support! We've still got a little less than two weeks to go in the campaign and we'd love your help getting the word out. Any tweets, blog posts, etc. will go a long way toward making this project a success!

Happy transit riding,

The OpenPlans Team
