Update #10: Festival/DVD Update
Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I updated everyone on Below New York. It's been a great summer on the festival circuit. The film has far surpassed all of my expectations, picking up a few awards and appearing at more than 10 festivals across the United States, Europe and Canada - thanks again for the support!
Last week the film screened at the Raindance Film Festival in London, one of Europe's largest independent film festivals. The film will be screening at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival for their 20th anniversary and finally the film will be screening at the New Orleans International Film Festival next weekend! We are excited and honored to be a part of all of these.
The following week the film is going to be featured in my hometown of Cambridge Ontario, Canada as part of the 5th anniversary of the Grand River Film Festival. The screening is taking place October 21st and will feature Doo-Wop group Select Blendz from the film! Truly feels great to be a part of this event.
Finally, DVDs. They are coming. Really. It's been a really busy summer and I haven't been able to put together the film into a proper package. I will get these out to everyone by the end of the year.
Again, thank you all for the support. The film could never have been done without you.
