Fiscal Transparency
Hi all,
So grateful to be climbing up past my original goal - immense thanks to all my awesome backers! I can't wait to send you postcards and so much more.
In the interest of disclosure and transparency, I want to keep you all updated on costs associated with my research trip. My initial goal covers just a small part of these so here's a little more info:
Final cost:
- Plane fare (Boston, Cusco, Santiago): $1829
- 1 Day trip to Machu Picchu: $335
Estimated costs:
- Hostels in Perú: $180
- Transportation expenses in Perú: $200
- Hostels in Chile: $200
- Transportation expenses in Chile: $300
- Entrance fees & site visit costs in Chile: $100
I'm extremely excited that the support thus far will cover a significant portion of the outlays I've already made. More help, as you can see, will not go unappreciated! I am incredibly fortunate to have so many backers who believe in this project and who are willing to help me do the footwork to make it a reality.
More updates to come - takeoff is less than 30 days away!!!
