Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Marina Rahlin and I'm a FIDM graduate fashion designer.
If you’re like me, you’ve noticed that there are not enough colorful, whimsical and retro inspired cocktail dresses in the women’s fashion world – there’s a niche to be filled! That’s why right after school, I started POPAVINA. I decided I will be the one to offer individual young ladies the alternative to black, white and grey ordinary clothing! POPAVINA was created to bring unique, elegant, sexy, original and sophisticated pieces to the modern day fashionista. Each creation is made to be non-seasonal and timeless. With such a gaping hole in the market, a well designed line is destined to succeed.

Right now, I am working on a winter collection and catalog, designed and sewn from scratch, like all of my pieces. I am asking you to become a part of this exciting endeavor. You can get in on the ground floor, and help make POPAVINA the label it is destined to become. Your donations will help defray the costs of materials, photographers, models, and PR representation. But, you won’t walk away empty-handed. On the right side of this page, you can see all rewards you can get for helping me in this endeavor.
Yes, this is all ambitious, but so am I.
I have a full-time job in the fashion industry, but every day after work and on the weekends I make the POPAVINA dream come true, little by little. Some may say that now is not the best time to start a fashion line or that only those with connections can make it in the fashion industry. I respect people's opinions, but I believe that with a great product, lots of hard work, and great people skills I can make it! Thank you for your help!

Since an early age, Marina Rahlin's various artistic interests always involved a strong passion for bright colors and unique textures. At age 10, Marina discovered Pop Art and decided to incorporate color, wit and humour into her own designs.
Marina's multi cultural background is paramount to her eclectic style, with Traditional influences from Ukraine , Russia and Israel. At age 20, Marina moved to Los Angeles to study Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; with her dream label in mind at all times, she decided to create high quality fashion with a strong emphasize on individuality, innovation and a retro "touch"...that's how POPAVINA was born.
POPAVINA by Marina Rahlin was created to bring unique, elegant, sexy, original and sophisticated pieces to the modern day fashionista. each creation is made to be non-seasonal and timeless. the ethos of her work is to capture a couture finish and an attention to detail within ready- to -wear clothing. her current signature style contains feminine silhouettes, big jewellery and lots of bows.
POPAVINA garments are inspired by various influences including Bossa Nova music, classic literature, and the great energy of Los Angeles.
