I'm an independent artist interested in transformational spaces that engage participation in contemporary issues. My work has been shown across the country and internationally for 30 years, is in many collections including the United States Capitol.
I really like the idea of using everyday things for art projects. It makes you think about all the recycling one could do. And that is common good for sure! I really dig the use of the T-shirts for this project and wish I could be a 'fly on the wall' to hear all the amazing conversations that will go on inside. Way to go Margaret!
I'm helping Margaret now- "planting" the t-shirts into the structure. It's getting colorful and magical
and I think it will look great next to the Calder sculpture at ArtPrize.
This should be a transformational space indeed. How many sculptures can you actually hang out in?
