About this project
We want to launch a balloon over Oregon to photograph the earth from 130,000 feet. The balloon will expand as it rises until it pops. The camera and tracking equipment will parachute back down to earth. We will then drive/hike out to the spot where the payload landed and retrieve the many gigs of amazing imagery.
The balloon that enabled us to photograph the earth in the video rose to an altitude of 100,000 feet.

This picture shows a 1500 gram balloon. We will launch a 3000 gram balloon for this project.
This picture shows a 600 gram balloon. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of the 1500 gram balloon attached to the whole rig.
