I have a goal amount I am trying to reach. This is the minimum amount needed to see the project through to a packaged & promoted album for your hot hands! I ONLY RECEIVE YOUR PLEDGE IF I REACH MY GOAL AMOUNT...THUS, I RAISE MY GOAL OR GET NOTHING!

When you kindly pledge any amount, that will go uncharged until the final day of my fundraiser, if (or should I say when) I have raised ALL or more of my set amount you will then see a charge for whatever amount you have pledged!

WHY SO MUCH...(ahh music, free but expensive!)

It may seem like a large amount to make a record (or maybe not) but I have taken a detailed account of the recording costs to hire a studio, musicians, engineers etc. As well as, the post-recording costs for mixing, mastering and packaging! Beyond that there will be promoting the album through press, publicists and live shows!

THE STORY OF THIS ALBUM AND THE MIKES!...(love them both!)

MIKE GARSON: When I first heard the awe inspiring piano that accompanies David Bowie on his track 'Lady Grinning Soul' (and others) it was not only true love but planted the seed and the desire to one day sing with that pianist, Mike Garson. That thought lived like a dream for years. A hope, a whisper. Then a few years ago it occured to me to find a way to get in touch with him and ask if he'd be interested in working with me...gutsy I know but lingering dreams often cause desperation. And so I did, and he said yes! Alas, the lack of money theme again rears its head, my project stalled due to no funds and so did my dream of recording with Mike.

But the dream persisted and about a month ago I contacted him again. Praying he would not hold me for a flake as I had reached out and then seemingly disappeared. I again sent him some of my music and he again agreed and was interested in recording together! (insert heart-a-flutter) Amazing! So exciting! A life long dream and something I'm so curious to hear the end result of. I have a feeling it will not only be beautiful but a transpiring experience. We are putting together a list of songs that will include a couple French cover songs, some originals and who knows what else...we shall see! Again, your pledge not only helps music be made but a woman fulfill her dream! To work with an artist whom you admire...the greatest gift of all!

MIKE FARRELL: I met Mike Farrell while making All These Things. He had just returned from 3 months in Rome recording Ringleader of the Tormentors with Morrissey! (sidenote: he also worked with Ennio Morricone as that's who recorded the strings. wow, can you imagine!) From the moment I met and sang with Mike in the studio that day I knew we'd be longtime friends and collaborators. The song that opens the above video is called 'Shadow King' and is a track from All These Things. He had written the music for it while in Rome and graciously offered it to me to bring a melody and lyrics to. Still love that song! Mike became an integral part of that record.

Of course, it didn't take long for me to hit him up to write more songs together! And so, we've been collaborating ever since. The other song in the video is an original French song we wrote together called Quitter. It has not been released as it is awaiting the funds to be properly mixed and mastered...thus your pledge! There are a few other songs along the lines of Quitter that have been started and will be a part of this album...lovely songs, patiently waiting to be freed!

KATHERINE BROOKS: My friend Katherine is an amazing director and beautiful spirit who one day woke up feeling despondent and alone...with 5,000 friends on Facebook how could she feel so alone!? 5,000 friends and all she needed was a hug! So, in Divine order, a thought came to her..."The first 50 people to respond to this post on Facebook I will go and visit!" 

She launched a Kickstarter to raise the funds to make a documentary about her journey, marrying her art as a Director with her life as a soul who craves connection. I encourage you all to see this film! It is truly moving and addresses this new world we live in and how we connect!
