Hi, my name is Isaac Harrison.
I have just made my first 20min. short film, “CURIOUS.” You see, I wish I had known about this whole “kickstarter” thing earlier. I would have been able to raise the funds to make my film, and perhaps even been able to eat more than just beans and canned tuna for months on end, in order to save money while I wrote, acted in, composed music for, co-edited and produced it. Oh well, that’s how it goes sometimes with labors of love.
The good news is that: a) Now I know about “kickstarter” and b) I’m finally finished with my film “CURIOUS”.
Here is how I could use all of your help: Now that I’m done, I am trying to raise $3000.00 so that I can submit my film to more festivals. “CURIOUS” was just in the “Dances With Films Festival” 2010, in Los Angeles Ca. And with your help, I plan on submitting to many more. Submissions to festivals range anywhere from around $30-$80 depending on the festival, and then there’s the cost of making DVDs, postcards, posters, and press packets for the festivals that you get into. Also, many of these festivals don’t pay for travel expenses, and it helps immensely if one is able to attend in person.
