My work has been accepted in to the RAW: Natural Born Artists BLEND Exhibition. The event will be held on May 10, 2012 @ Numbers. I am in need of individuals to purchase 20 tickers to be eligible to participate. In addition, funds leftover will used for supplies to hang the artwork. 

Tickets are $10.00 per person. All artists participating in the show have to sell tickets. Once you have decided to donate funds, your money will be sent to RAW Artists--directly. Your ticket will be emailed to you. If you are not able to come to the show and still want to help me in this artistic mission, donate your ticket to someone.

Info on Art Project:

RAW: natural born artists is an independent arts organization that hand-selects and spotlights independent creatives in visual art, film, fashion, music, hair & makeup artistry, photography, models and performing art. RAW's mission is to provide up-and-coming artists of all creative realms with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity so that they might be seen, heard and loved. 

RAW educates, connects and exposes emerging artists in 22 artistic communities nationwide through monthly showcase events. Join us in celebrating the work of these artists.  RAW events basically boil down to an eclectic artist showcase, which includes a short film screening, a fashion show, a musical performance, art gallery and a performance artist of some type. Our mission as an organization is to provide tools and resources for artists that are independent and promoting themselves.

There are a few different ways:  We have our monthly showcases and we have our huge web community on RAWartists.org.  This allows us to promote artist we love both online and offline.  At each of our events, we have our in-house film crew and photographer build a media kit around your showcase.  We do an artist interview to find out where you came from and where you're going.  We capture footage of your work and edit it into a 1-2 minute clip that you get to keep for your website, Facebook, further promotion, portfolio, etc.

We also take a professional photo shoot of you and your work.  These help you display your work in a professional light. We are a growing indie arts community.  It costs us $200 an artist to put on the showcase.

In the meantime, all we ask in return is you (and each featured artist) sell 20 tickets at $10 a piece to the event to cover our cost.  The balance will need to be taken care of 3 days prior to the showcase. So far the artists have not struggled to meet their goal of 20 tickets, with little out of pocket expenses (i.e. materials).
