Week One (of 5): My Kickstarter Project

This first week has been fun and exciting, and my Kickstarter project is turning out to be a great networking tool.

History of the project so far

My Kickstarter project was accepted just a day or two after I submitted it. Once accepted I quickly posted it live on the Kickstarter site last Wednesday evening.

I decided to add an additional ten days to the recommended 30 days for the project to run, so that I could ask for and receive feedback and make adjustments and learn.

I received an invitation to do an internet radio interview about my art and my Kickstarter project. I will post details in future.

This first few days has been fun and exciting, and a great way to expand my networking.

My Painting titled: Rainbow X mixed media on canvas 48" X 48" Artist: Marie Kazalia, date May 2010

I've received so many compliments on this painting, just from views of the pic online.
The curator of the Hotel des Arts, in San Francisco emailed me, "Your paintings are powerful in person!" The same day he unpacked the paintings that I had shipped to him for the group exhibit
currently there.

There is a lot of detail and texture in my work that the camera lens flattens out and that just doesn't show up!
