About this project
We want to make a live action trailer for the upcoming video game "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim". We' love playing video games almost as much as we love making movies and combining the two mediums is an exciting endeavor.
Video games that have been adapted to movies have often missed the mark because they weren't made with the helping hand of fans. Although it isn't anywhere close to a feature length film, this trailer may function as a wake up call to Hollywood to stop smashing our hopes with every video game movie they release.
We're planning on a one day shoot that comes with a few expenses:
Canon 5d and lens package rental: $100
Custom made Nord Dragon-born armor: $500
Food for a crew of 10 people: $150
Transportation for said crew: $150
Post production digital effects: $100
The entire crew is working for free under the satisfaction of making an excellent trailer for an awesome game. With your help as a fan of video games, movies, or both, we can put together an amazing piece of work.
With the success of this trailer, we hope gaming companies will take control of their future film adaptations and make them for a broad audience without leaving the fans dissatisfied when the credits roll.
Either way, we can all rejoice over a cool live action trailer for an exciting new game.
