To launch the début art exhibition for local Lancaster based artist featuring vivid and eye-catching visions of urban spaces & cities.
This project is my mission to get some colour to the walls of Lancaster Library for the month of June! I want to launch my very first gallery exhibition, but I need your help to do it. The exhibition is going to be a unique and colourful re-imagining of cities and urban spaces, both local and fictional. It's called "Metamorpolitan!"
It's a lot of work, a lot of planning and tons of organisation needed. I'm going to be working with local traders and businesses for everything that Metamorpolitan will need. Canvases, paint, paper, invitations, brochures, adverts, fliers, nibbles, drinks, frames...
I'm really excited about this, and I hope that the rewards I'm offering for your pledges will make you very happy. Your pledges will help make Metamorpolitan a reality and bring some beautiful colour to these white walls:

I've already spoken to the manager of the library and she's given me the go ahead to display my artwork in their gallery for June, I've spoken to many local businesses and they've offered me a lot of support and some great feedback.
I've also listed some tickets for the event on eventbrite just in case anyone else wants to come along that I won't have catered for when I sent the invites out.
I've still got to find more items on my "to do" list, such as getting the catering sorted, printing brochures and I still need to find people to help out on the night. This is all in hand though and I'm working on it! :-)

I'm going to hire a professional photographer to take photos of all of the canvases, then I'm going to need to hire a print company to produce prints of the photos as well as an information booklet which will be available for people to take away from the library and the tourist information centre. I'm also going to need to pay for advertising the campaign in various publications, plus there's the actual art materials themselves to cover the cost of, then I'm also going to need to get on and off-line invitations sorted out, also there's the launch party catering and wine to pay for. All in all it's probably going to total more than £500, but your donations are going to go a huge, huge way to helping me out.
