About this project
"When was the last time someone did something nice for you? Do you remember it? Intriguing, isn't it?" My Modern Met
"A pleasant break from documentaries that always reveal something pretty awful about the world." cool-shit
"Good Virus is all about the small things, tiny acts of kindness that don’t cost a lot of money or oblige praise." We're So Inspired
"It’s full of stories about good deeds, the lives of people who perform them, and the lives of people effected by them." New Years Eve Central
Good Virus, is a feature length documentary that profiles cutting-edge scientists and authors from UC Berkeley to Harvard and everywhere in between as well as real life people whose lives illustrate their incredible discovery: That kindness IS contagious. Street performers, soup kitchen volunteers, police officers, models, CEOs, baseball players, roller derby queens, concert pianists, artists, and many more tell you their heartfelt stories of kindness and generosity.
The shocking conclusion is that nice guys do indeed finish first! Learn how a little generosity can help you live a happier, healthier, wealthier, longer and more fulfilling life.
Good Virus has already been finished and is currently being submitted to film festivals. The money raised is to cover the cost of polishing the film properly. We would like to have someone professionally do the final sound mix, the music mix and color correction, all of which are horribly expensive, to bring our vision to fruition.

In addition to the film, we have created a book of portraits (click here for a sample spread) that
feature many of the 200+ people that we interviewed for the film. We
asked everyone that we interviewed the same question: “What is the
nicest thing that anyone has done for you?” Along side of their
portraits, we have printed the response to this question. One of the
interesting things that we noticed about these portraits was that after
answering this question people had a pronounced glow. This glow is what
Good Virus is all about.
There are lots of incentives on the right:
• A digital download of the festival screener of our entire film.
• A DVD of the festival screener of our entire film with lots of extras that are not on the digital download.
• An eco-friendly tee-shirt featuring the “Good Virus”
• A limited edition book of portraits of many of the people featured
in the film along with their answer to the question
“What is the nicest
thing that anyone ever did for you?”
• The “Good Virus "Kindness Kures" First Aid Kit”, a deluxe silk-screened boxed set of all of the above plus the 10 common sense steps to lead a happier healthier, wealthier and more fulfilling life.
• Lots and lots of surprises!
Our
goal is not to make millions or score that sweet distribution deal, but
to reassure people that there is a lot more kindness out there than one
might think. Our goal is to get in front of as many eyes as possible,
something film is very good at, and infect the human race with the good
virus!
So tell your friends, and at least opt for the digital
download. It will totally be worth it. I guarantee it will brighten your
day, put a smile on your face and quite possibly even change your life!
Kindness is contagious.
