Five more days — the end is nigh! If you're aching for something to take your mind off the excitement of these last few days, you should check out what's going on over in our other game, The Kingdom of Loathing. I hear things are really on fire over there!
In this update, we'd like to take a minute (so just sit right there) to tell you about some of the items you'll find in the world of Word Realms. As we've said before, these are screenshots from our development build, so we haven't yet gussied them up as much as we'd like to.
This mushroom will expand your mind, man. And the way we represent this is by shoving some random letters into your tileset when you eat it.
This one is a little more specific -- it'll let you talk to ghosts. "OOO", they say. Or sometimes just "OO", because they've got places to be and people to haunt.
Talking to ghosts is especially useful if you're a wizard with this little number in your off-hand.
Of course, sometimes your HP and MP are inexcusable, and you need a regular old video game potion. We've got those, too.
These shoes let you move faster, so they give you more time to think of a word while you're wearing them. They're great for this times when you just know there's a good word in there somewhere... Haste makes waste, y'know.
On the other hand, if you're in a hurry, you can always go the other route. He who hesitates is lost, y'know.
And finally — sorry if it is getting repetitive, but thanks once again to all of you. The word-spreaders, the backers (2500 and growing!), the pledge-uppers... You are a force to be reckoned with! Keep it up, and we'll blow past 100% funding any time now!
