Catapult Theatre Project, in conjunction with Seattle Center’s The Next Fifty, presents a double billing of the world premiere of Seattle playwright Emily Conbere’s Broken Dog Legs and the Seattle premiere of Kim Rosenstock’s New York hit Tigers Be Still from October 18 – 28, 2012 in the Intiman Playhouse Studio.

"Broken Dog Legs" follows a young woman as she navigates through a collapsing family, inexplicable grief and mounding CitiBank debt. Solace comes in unlikely canine forms and cautious hope is always on the horizon in this world premiere by Seattle playwright Emily Conbere.

"Tigers Be Still" is a comedy that follows the misadventures of Sherry Wickman, a young woman who has recently earned her masters degree in art therapy only to find herself moving back home with her family and sending out countless résumés. An unexpected employment opportunity, however, gives her a renewed sense of purpose and unexpected adventure when a tiger escapes from the local zoo and her first art therapy student proves to be more than she bargained for.

Catapult will present these plays as a double billing as part of The Next Fifty’s effort to  present programming that is free and open to the public. Which means all the funding comes from theatre-lovers like you!
