Going Native: Warpath is a Native American themed table top strategy wargame that explores the real life cultures of the Americas and the Pacific. Instead of having massive armies, Going Native:Warpath follows the realistic war party dynamic that was employed by the native peoples of the Americas and the Pacific. This means the models needed for a battle number rarely more than 100 and, in most cases, less than 50 per player, depending on the size of game you'd like to play. Going Native: Warpath is easy to learn and once you are familiar with the basic rules the game moves quickly. The average game time can range from 30 to 40 minute for a small game and up to a hour or more for games using larger party sizes.
Historical VS Mythical
We also differ from other historical style games by giving the player the option to bring the mythical creatures of the Americas and the Pacific into the game as members of their War Party. These mythical creatures, called Spirit Beasts in the game, are compelled to join the battle on the side of the player’s War Party by the spirits, a deity, or by an offering of some kind to help the tribe in its time of need.
What is covered in Going Native: Warpath?
The native world in Going Native: Warpath was split in to 5 regions:
The North - This covers the Northwest United States and most of Canada
The East - Covers everything east of the Rocky Mountains and the Caribbean
Mesoamerica -covers Mexico, the American Southwest and the Mayan rainforests
The South -Covers all of South America
The Pacific - covers the cultures of the islands of the Pacific and the Australian Aborigines.
The core rule book includes one War Party from each region: Pacific Northwest Tribes from the North, Woodland Tribes from the East, the Aztec Triple Alliance from Mesoamerica, the Inca Empire from the South, and the Hawaiian Koa from the Pacific.

What is done and what are my Kickstarter Objectives?
Well, the rules and book are done, but a lot of art is still needed.
The models for the Aztec Triple Alliance War Party are either finished or being sculpted.
The goal of this Kickstarter is to fund the second starter kit, the Pacific Northwest Tribes, and the much-needed art for the Core Rule book.
What is in a Going Native: Warpath Starter Kit?
Every Going Native: Warpath War Party Starter Kit includes finely detailed metal models and stat cards. The models are 28mm scale and made of metal with plastic bases. Each Starter Kit has enough models to play Going Native: Warpath using the lowest War Party levels in the core rule book. Here are the models found in each starter kit –
- One War Chief – This is the leader of your War Party
- Two Six Man units – Units of Warriors and Braves are the heart and soul of the game
- One Officer – This is a hero, shaman or other important individual from the tribe
- One Spirit Beast – This is a monster, wizard, or guardian that was sent by the gods or spirits to assist the War Chief in this battle.

In this Kickstarter, we are in the process of putting together a fantastic fictional Hero model, The Monster Hunter. The Monster Hunter is a limited release model that will not be available for general release when Going Native: Warpath makes it to your local game store. If we exceed the stretch goals listed below, we will also put out other limited release models for Going Native: Warpath.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
One of the continuing challenges to this project is the subject matter. Since Native Americans and Pacific Islanders are largely an unexplored subject when it comes to gaming and comics, problems are bound to come up. The lack of familiarity with this subject has led to uninspired concept sketches which have produced uninspired models in the past. Based on the lessons from the past, we have taken a different approach to this problem by working with the artist more to get a solid concept sketch that the sculptor can then use to build a great model and give the gamer something fantastic to use on the table top. You can surely see that from the video above.
There is a lot of work to do from now until August of next year, the planned deadline for Going Native: Warpath. This is a challenge to say the least. Although I have lined up some fantastic artists and sculptors to work with me on this project, they live all over the world and it can take up to a month before the greens even arrive. This also compounds the issue when you factor in production and packaging. With proper time management, I know that everything that is funded with this Kickstarter Campaign will be delivered on time.
I have overcome many challenges just to make it this far. With the help of mentors from existing model companies big and small, a network of artists, and several years in the gaming industry, I know that I can overcome any obstacle that comes my way. I have never been known to stray from hard work and I am looking forward to seeing Going Native: Warpath to fruition.

As long as you always refer to it as you typed it above (with all three words) then that is great. If you remove the going native bit then I feel it would infringe our Trademark.
