About this project
STORY This is the story of a teenager named Jess who lives a pampered lonely existence in a small, forested town. Into his life comes Rose, an awkward feral girl whom Jess finds strangely attractive. Despite the ridicule this interest earns him at the hands of his friends, Jess decides to pursue her. The events of the story culminate in Jess meeting Rose's parents and dealing with some violent clashes of lifestyle. The themes and metaphors presented deal with militant feminism meeting the unfocused, watered down version of contemporary manhood.
In a twist finale, we find that the residents of this small town are truly not what they seem. The weaker sex is relative.
BACKGROUND I began writing the screen play for Before 12 due to my interest in dark thrillers and Twilight Zone inspired tales that defy convention. I had the idea of taking a normal day in a small town and transforming it into a commentary on the relationships between the sexes and the reversals of classic stereotypes, and turning it into a horror film reminiscent of “Elephant” and “Let The Right One In".
Can love survive in a world where control, lack of opinion, and being accepted by your peers is so important?
BUDGET We plan on making this movie a reality with only $50,000. $12,000 of which will be coming from you! Our faithful and lovely donors!
Using this money, we'll be able to easily garner the attention of independent film investors, and make a huge splash on the indie film festival circuit. If you guys think we're really worth it, tell your friends and maybe we can make this movie fully kickstarter funded!
The full budget will go towards required special effects, actors, locations, professional cameras, insurance, founding the LLC and getting the film in at film fests across the country and possibly the world.
With your help, 77 Pictures can make this project a reality.

Sandy has been practicing his own brand of film making for over 20 years. At age 11, he was introduced to a behemoth of a video camera, and began shooting animation and action movies. At age 15, he was a volunteer PA for "Phenomenon" and soon after, "The Deep End".
He has been an actor and director in over a dozen theatrical projects, participated in numerous film festivals, and has created many short films and features through his fledgling company, 77 Pictures. His first feature film, Vigilante Cops, a completely guerrilla endeavor, opened to a packed theatre with standing room only.
Before 12, his next project, is slated to film early spring 2011 or sooner, and he would LOVE your help in making this movie a reality.
