My (somewhat suspect) prowess as a video director aside, I am super excited to be in a position to actually complete four full issues of my little Rock N Roll Horror anthology: Nix Comics Quarterly.

Feature Stories:

Devil and Quick Joey Small: I'm thrilled to present Nix's first feature-sized contribution by Bob Ray Starker, regular illustrator for the Nixcomics.com Pander Bear webcomic and contributor of shorts in issues #2 and #3.  Can the escapee protagonist of the famous bubblegum pop tune stare down both Sheriff Jack Banes AND the devil?

The Blade Cuts Both Ways: Sadly, while Michael Neno is painting the beautiful cover of issue #4, time didn't allow him to do the Vampire Hunting Vicar feature this issue.  Happily, Matt Wyatt is stepping up to the plate to continue the Vicar's assault on the undead that lurk in dirty saloons and nightclubs.  In addition to his unique cartooning style, Matt brings barroom authenticity and punk credibility as a long standing Columbus rock scene mainstay, going all the way back to his days in the seminal 80s alternative band Great Plains.

The Mono-Nomicon: Rachel Deering and Glen Ostrander return to issue #4 with a look at what happens when two dopey kids bring home an LP version of the legendary Necronomicon, i.e. Book of the Dead!  Dear me! Can the institution of marriage survive a household with two mummies?

Eddie and Squid Contemplate The Great Beyond:  Just because Eddie and Squid are bikers doesn't mean they don't have deep thoughts about the nature of things.  But their debates do tend to be more... pointed...  Illustrated by Andy Bennett!

Recurring Shorts:

Did It Really Happen?: Darren Merinuk returns to Nix Comics Quarterly after a one issue absence with a vengeance!  Not his vengeance, mind you, but with a believe it or not type tale of Kinks front man Ray Davies running six miles to give a PR man his comeuppance!

Bus Stop Ned Fiddles Around: You ever get to nodding your head in time to some musician busking at your stop or station?  Bus Stop Ned (Nix Comics' personification of the crazy man you meet taking public transit) takes his appreciation to the next level!  Featuring another homecoming as Ryan Brinkerhoff comes back the pages of Nix!

Bus Stop Ned Develops An App:  Bet you thought that Ned was some kind of Luddite, huh?  Well Donovan Taylor Roth helps me show you that he's a secretly cutting edge developer!

Public Domain Comic Theater: Is the Crimson Executioner making an appearance in Nix just because he looks like a superhero?  Or is it just the only public domain film featuring the late great Mickey Hartigay that I could find?  A little from column A and a little from column B.  Art stolen by Captain Tuttle.
