Guys, this happened! It's done!

195 of you brought us to 153% of our goal.  The nearly $8,000 we raised means that we can launch Real Pops within the month. 

Thanks to you, wheels are already turning: we've bought a tricycle and we're fabbing up a freezer for it as we speak, our permits should come through any day now, and we're in talks with a number of farmers markets to find a space for Real Pops.

How do I say this? I am blown away by the love and support I've received over the last month.  The enthusiasm you have shown for this project is inspiring and invigorating, and makes me sure that Real Pops can be a huge success.

We picked a logo and our friend and graphic designer Emily Cohane-Mann made a mock-up of what our bag will look like.  So good, right?

So many exciting things are happening!

First off, we passed the $6,000 mark and now we're more than halfway to our goal of $11,000.  The first $5,000 took us just over 48 hours; we can definitely make the last $5,000 in the 20 days remaining.

Secondly, I put up a new website for Real Pops.  It still needs to be polished, but it covers the basic information.  Also, feel free to try out my new email address (!!): dewey at real-pops dot com. 

Thirdly, and most exciting of all, we made the front page of today's Cambridge Chronicle! It might be a bit hard to read, but you can see the article below.

p.s. I've also settled on a logo design (spoiler alert: you can see it on the website), and in the next couple of days I'll be uploading mock-ups of what our canvas tote bags will look like. Stay tuned!

Hey guys! Two things.

First: we're one sixth of the way to a freezer bike! I'm totally thrilled and confident that we can raise the remaining $2,500. In the spirit of keeping things as local as possible, I'm working on finding a Mass Art student to build it for us.  Let me know if you know anybody.

Secondly, I wanted to show you some of the logos that our friend Emily Cohane-Mann has been working on for us.  We're really excited about all of the options and we're going to pick one in the next couple of days.  I have a favorite, as does Emily, but I'd love to hear what you think. (Also:  they're all in black-and-white for consistency's sake but we're planning on incorporating color in the final version.)

She's a talented lady, and we're so lucky to have her working with us.

We're 100% to goal in just 48 hours! What an incredible achievement--I'm so grateful to all of you, for pledging and for telling your friends about the project and getting them to pledge, too.

I have total confidence that we can make it to our new goal of $11,000 and our fundraiser for the Women's Lunch Place.  Let's keep this momentum going!
