Connected as Kari Smith (598 friends)
Kari is a photographer and animator who spent a ridiculous amount of money for a degree she'll only use on comic booking. But, hey, she ain't complaining.
I have not yet recived my copy, is it normal? (I'm in Canada btw)
I have mine and it looks great. I can't wait till you start up the second issue. Congratulations!
Still none for me, so jealous of you all that have received yours.
Mine came in the mail yesterday it looks awesome can't wait to really sit down and go through it..
I *love* this comic and the one I got in the mail was PERFECT~~~!!!
@K.lynn It's not so much about a replacement as "knowing for next time" I assume (HOPE) this won't be the only issue. and for future orders it is inexpense to help protect the comics a little more.
I backed this project because westerns (or weird westerns) are a favorite genre of mine as a past writer for Deadlands: Doomtown.I had hoped to see my name proudly displayed with many others as a supporter of the genre, instead I got a cute anecdote about typos on your cell phone making it to print.
I cannot stress that I backed this project be cause I love this genre and love comics. Not for recognition or for collectability. This was a great intro! I enjoyed the book and will buy a copy of the second issue as well.
Got my book. Love it!!! Keep up the awesome work :D
@Tim J. Meyer-- Sorry to hear that! There seemed to have been an issue with importing the answers from Kickstarter to the Excel spreadsheet. The boxes were not aligned correctly and the names written in the address block were taken as the 'thank you' names. So, I apologize for that error.
As for the copy, I can send you another.
Thanks for letting me know.
I got my copy of the book today. Very good opening issue.
BUT, I asked to be Listed in the thank yous as "Tim J. Meyer" and somehow my phone typo'd my address as "Tim Meyet" and on the Thank yous I am listed as "Tim Meyet" Why ask how I wanted to be listed and then not use it?
Also, bags and boards would have been such as small additional cost. (like 15 cents) to include a bag and board. My copy has spine bends from shipping., I had planned to read it CAREFULLY but to preserve it's condition as well as I could.
As I said, I love the story and art...
Congrats!!
I'm SO pleased for you!
If I need to send you extra for shipping, just let me know~ <3
Congrats! Cant wait!
The end is basically upon us and I am so glad the goal was so thoroughly trounced.
Just read through the archive, then added the RSS. Absolutely brilliant work. I really feel like I need to beg for more cameo spots to be added.
I went to the website and read all the back pages, It was sooo good. I can't wait for more. Your drawing style, the way everything reads I really love it.
wow, this looks great! just curious to know: how much should I add on for international shipping?
Congratulations on reaching your goal! I love your comic and am so happy I was able to find it and pledge to keep it going, it definitely deserves more pledges!
Congrats. Everything looks fantastic. Very very rad. If you get a chance you should check out my children's book on here... Can't wait to get my copy of Plume. :)
Wish I had more money to back you with! Love the comic and can't wait to see where it goes, and it makes me even more excited that you're a 'local' artist; I'm only about an hour north of Lansing myself!
This looks fantastic. I really like the voiceover effect in the video...maybe make a motion comic one day? Kickstarter for an iPad app?
Yay for Plume! And you're in Lansing, too? O_O Even if I weren't in love with the comic, have to support local artists!! :D (But I am in love with the comic, so it's easy. ^_^ )
I found you from deviant art! I love your comic, I'm glad I kept following and found your kickstarter!
Been reading since the beginning, when this baby was on smackjeeves. :) So glad to help support this!
Had to wait a few days until I got my check to pledge, then I come back here to see you're already over goal! :D It made me happy that so many other people see how wonderful Plume is!
This is the first thing I've ever "backed" in my life and I'm happy to say so! I'm sure my $$ are not going to waste!
Hey! I'm the other co-author of "Namesake" (www.namesakecomic.com) and Isa was the one who showed me your comic. It's absolutely brilliant! I can't wait to get my copy as well. I'm so glad you were able to raise the funding!
Good luck! I can't wait to hold a copy of this fantastic comic in my hands! :D
Wow, the artwork is totally rad. Can't wait to have some of it hanging around in my empty apartment! Not enough comics with strong female protagonists. I love what you've done so far!
One of the things I love about Kickstarter is that it helps me find so many new comics to check out. Looking forward to the book, and congrats!
What a FANTASTIC comic! And, uh, that trailer gave me chills. :D
Been a fan since the start and can't wait for more! Keep up the great work!
Yeah! I totally just sent that over the goal amount. 8] I'm a huge fan since you started! Love your art style, thanks for taking the time to make this comic to share with the world.
Oh my god! so much time left and your're already almost there!
I seriously could not turn down that nice trailer you did! Good luck!
Great comic, I'm proud to support it. Best of luck to reaching your goal!
:D Awesome, you're almost half way there already! Good luck!
Thank you, thank you!
Way to go for kicking off kickstarter, Kari! We're supporting you all the way!
Hey there! Glad to back Plume! I love it and read every update. I'm the co-author of the webcomic "Namesake" (www.namesakecomic.com) and I feel we fantasy artists need to stick together! *laughs* I can't wait to get a copy I hope you get a million backers. At least.
