Drew always appeared to have it all; his outward appearance belies his inner torment of an abusive past that threatens to consume him.
FRICTION was born out of theraputic scribbling on a blank legal pad. It was intended more as therapy then a screenplay at first, but it quickly became apparent that this was a story that needed to be told and a film that needs to be made.
The story was inspired by the true story of my life. One that many can relate too and one that will shock those that see it. It's a true coming of age story with a razor sharp edge and a secret that was destined to be told. It's about the struggle of keeping your past the past and how you deal with it once your deepest darkest secrets are exposed. It deals with relevant social issues and will bring a new light to those issues offering the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of those unfortunate enough to be dealing with the same demons.
As I previously mentioned FRICTION is a story that needs to be told. I am looking to tell that story in a powerful, edgy, intense and shocking way through a feature length film with implied imagery that will keep the audience hooked.
My goal with FRICTION is to produce this film with my very talented friend Jon Marc Sandifer to submit it to several film festivals around the world and ultimately have it distributed to theaters everywhere. It's a story that at times is like Dazed and Confused but more powerful then Precious.
