A love story of a haunted serial killer who tries to regain the love he once lost and finds himself in a love triangle with Death.

Kiss Me Dark is a suspenseful psychological thriller detailing the bizarre love triangle of a killer, his dead lover, and Death. Parrish had the perfect relationship until he lost his Amara, on a night of true horror. Parrish, still in shock, has a hard time accepting Amara's death.... and so does Amara as she discovers she's existing in a surreal purgatory with Parrish's heart beating strongly for her on one side but the dangerous embrace of Death-manifest on the other side. We've all felt as puppets in this great drama of life but this story is different, as is further unfolds we learn who is really pulling the strings in a trail of haunted murders that connects the tangled lives of the characters in this drama.

Although this is the first full length feature film from director, Anastasia Heonis aka Acid PopTart, she's no stranger to large scale productions. Her resume includes acting in other films, art direction of lavish photo shoots for magazines such as Gothic Beauty Magazine, Elegy, Devolution, Giuseppina, alt NOIR, and many others. Well known for alternative modeling, she's well versed in using darkness to her advantage and understanding that horror doesn't have to be a t&a gorefest. Rather Heonis intends to use suspense to her advantage and build upon the cannon of classic gothic literature and aesthetic made famous by such individuals as Mary Shelley, Horace Walpole, Charlotte Brontë, Sheridan Le Fanu, and many others. Heonis intends to bring to her film a modern goth feel which is rooted in the punk rock movement and valued for both it's passion and it's DIY sensibilities.

Even if a film has an amazing story and talented crew and cast, if the budget isn't available to properly dress the set or characters that deficit can profoundly spoil the audience's suspension of disbelief. Due to Heonis' previous modeling experience, she's fashioned strong relationships with talented designers who will be at work on this film in order to help take a vision on paper and make it a well dressed reality. It may seem like costuming and sets are just embellishment, but we believe that a film which is well developed in all aspects allows for an unforgetable viewing experience. The director's love of dramatics and theatricality will show through in the elaborate underground club scene with professional dancers and fire performers as well as the profoundly dark scene involving Death's last tango. Featuring wardrobe from Wilde Hunt Corsetry, Folks Garments, Artifice Clothing, J-Chans Designs, Kambriel and many more to be announced. Wilde Hunt Corsetry is working on several exclusive designs for use in the film including an electrically lighted, corseted gown. Please see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAhlPYgCWTY  for an example of Wilde Hunt Corsetry's electric corsets.

Set design is equally important and the location, which is an actual church that we have secured, is in pre-production as we paint and furnish with antiques and hand rendered touches. Just as the story is a layered, textured piece,  so are the sets which will appear lavish and just as eclectic as the characters they will house. All of these details will result in a luxe visual experience. And for a limited number of donations we will be offering actual set props for rewards, available after we've finished filming and complete with certificates of authenticity. These props may be anything from actual art used on set to the antique medical supplies from the lab set. As another incentive to donors, we'll be producing limited edition books for this film. These books which will offer a lot of behind the scenes information including interesting details about set design and costume design, as well as including sketches and actual pieces of hand dyed fabric or leather which were used to create the costumes.

This will be the first project which Screaming Midnight Features (a subsidiary of Acid PopTart Productions) will release but we're no strangers to what's needed to pull off a successful production. The money raised will cover the costs of equipment, leased space, securing additional talent and investors, and covering additional wardrobe and make up costs. Breaking into Hollywood may not be easy but that won't stop any one of the talented people we've assembled for this film. Help us create an amazing film and get some great rewards as a thank you from the cast and crew!

Featuring Rob Gales, Anastasia Heonis, Jody Krevens, Michael "Pottymouth" Gray, and Kat Livingston. Score by Braille Korp. Featuring music from the band, Anders Manga.
