BRING LIFE TO HOPPY GIRL NANO BREWERY & WINE CAFE- a Brewpub with great flair!

Brenda Ammon is the owner, operator and one of the head brewers at Hoppy Girl Brewing and she is asking for your support to help her be one of the few, but growing,  female owner/operator/brewers in the U.S. and most importantly in Minnesota (her home state).  Everyone will receive a SPECIAL token of my appreciation at each reward level too (wink, wink)!

Hoppy Girl Brewing, LLC was formed out of pure love for great things, craft beer and the people who like craft beer. We would like to grow from just home brewing in our kitchen to sharing our creations with those who enjoy "researching" craft beer, wine and martinis like we do.  We appreciate you sharing our story with your friends, family, coworkers, beer, wine and martini enthusiasts on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and any other method you think is appropriate.                                                                 

•  The money raised will be used for purchasing all the brew equipment, licensing, supplies and amenities needed to run a nano brewery, supplies necessary for all grain brewing, a professional logo, website and video and when we exceed our goal, I will be able to get rolling with this project.  NO monies will be used for salaries, just necessary expenditures to get up and running.

What is Hoppy Girl Nano Brewery & Wine Cafe?

We are not just a bar, nor a restaurant. We are a multi-faceted business which will encompass the rapidly growing nano/micro-brewing movement throughout the country, a wine café showcasing the wines from the multitude of local wineries, including the Great River Road Wine Trail and some of our favorite international wine choices, and a martini bar using only hand selected vodkas and unique recipes.  We will also have the Hoppy Girl Excursion Beer Tour from Milwaukee, WI, to Minneapolis, MN.  Ladies join the Hoppy Chicks Brew Crew, where we share and learn about brewing beer, wine, martinis, coffees, teas and more.  We are a meeting place for family celebrations, local promotions and events showcasing the communities other businesses and the site of activities focused on funding for charities and non-profits.  Do you want to learn how to brew beer?  Then join us for one of our classes and see why we have so much fun brewing and researching beer.  Are you a speaker and have information  to educate our patrons and community? We will be home to many educational formats including home brewing, organic/sustainable living, gardening, and so much more.

Where is Hoppy Girl Nano Brewery located?  Currently we are in the planning stages, and plan to open in my hometown area of Wabasha, MN, population 2,600, along the Mississippi River, approximately 1 1/2 hours south of Surly Brewery. 

How is Hoppy Girl different from other breweries?  At Hoppy Girl we are driven by quality beer in small batches known as artisan brews.  Our drive is not to be the biggest brewery on the block, we are driven by customer service, offer small plated menu versus a full restaurant style menu.  Below are some of the activities we will offer.  Since Wabasha is made up of 2,600 people, our desire is to "entertain" our guests.  However if you just want to come and enjoy a pint of great beer, then be our guest!

We plan to offer Massage Monday Madness featuring Martinis (I have 18 years experience as a licensed massage therapist) where you get complimentary 10 minute chair massage.  Trivia Tuesday where you can build your brain power, while enjoying our craft beer!  Wine Down Wednesday featuring Women, Wisdom & Wine gatherings (not bitch sessions, but social gathering of great women).  Maybe Thirsty Thursday with discounts on craft beer and double price for domestic or imports (just kidding my Mich Golden Friends).  A week is not complete without Fantastic Friday so who knows what we will be celebrating by then.  Sports Saturdays for all the college football fans and of course others sports like Tour d France, Swimming, Strongman competitions (for my son) and the latest craze...Cross Fit Challenges and we will slow down a bit for Sunday's and offer Acoustic Sundays as we want to showcase local talent both musical and artistic.  Did I say we were going to be a destination spot so we will always have something going on if you need activity and if not just come and drink our beer and enjoy our homemade soups, fresh breads from the local bakery in Wabasha, or maybe you just want to sample a great cheese & salami plate with fresh fruits/veggies and of course for the ladies....chocolate.  We would like to be featured as a "slow food" type brew pub.  Did I mention we plan to offer our featured Sweet Brew Creations Chocolate Milk Stout cake & brownies made from scratch or our beer cookies and cupcakes baked on the premises?  

Hoppy Girl Brewing, LLC Mission

Our mission is to provide a fun, educational atmosphere where everyone, single or group of friends, can relax while sampling craft beer, wine, martinis or unique sodas, coffee or teas with our small fare of food offerings, including locally grown and/or organic choices. Enjoy reading a book by the fireplace, playing a game of checkers, watching a sporting event on television or simply enjoying your work time away from the office using our free Wi-Fi access.  We plan to work with the historical society and be a source for sharing the history of Wabasha and our many great businesses in town, including the National Eagle Center, Historic Anderson House, Slippery’s (Home of the Grumpy Old Men Movies), Lark Toys in Kellogg, MN, (with their hand carved carousel) , the stories of Mark Twain, Big Jo Flour Mill and so much more.

Help Make Our Goal a Reality!

Our goal of $25,000 is minimal but a great start to making Hoppy Girl Brewing a reality in our town of 2,600. Wabasha, MN, which is one of the oldest river towns along the Mississippi River.  I believe that Hoppy Girl Brewing, along with all the other great businesses and restaurants, will help to bring back the community and be a stopping point again for the  American Queen Paddle Boat, which is back in service. 

WE ONLY HAVE 45 DAYS TO REACH OUR GOAL and as stated above all monies  will be used for the equipment, supplies, licenses and building a bar/lounge area with plenty of televisions for all to enjoy.   Thank you for helping Brenda (aka One Hoppy Chick be the first female owner/brewer of a nano brewery in Wabasha and possibly Minnesota.)   CHEERS!!!
