After Dakota loss her granny she had so many questions. I answered each one as best as I could but it was still difficult for a young child to comprehend. I asked God, “How can I explain this in a way that she not only understands it but also comes to terms with it?” HE gave me the vision to write this book. I believe this book with its beautiful and simplistic illustrations, and wording will help me do the job of explaining to her and other children between the ages of 3-7 years old what the loss of a loved one really means. The book references biblical scriptures to comfort during that most difficult time.

I'm very excited about the completion of the book because the main character is Dakota! She will always have a memory of the short time she spent with her granny.

I plan to use the funds to pay the illustrator, and to also get 150 copies printed.  I would also like to promote the book at local schools in california with the hopes of landing a publishing deal. I'd love to be able to give away some books to children to help them understand the loss of a loved one...
