THE DREAM

The Dream is a documentary that follows the lives of three professional track and field athletes (Christine Spence, Sani Roseby, Chantel Yates) striving to make it to the Olympics.  It documents the pursuit of their dreams in the face of many trials and tribulations both physical and mental.  They have dedicated their lives to their dream and they are confronted with the reality of it on a daily basis.

THE MISSION

This documentary has been four years in the making and I am finally reaching its completion.  My purpose for making this film is to encourage and inspire anyone who has ever had a dream.  I believe that the hard work, dedication, perseverance and physical demands shown by the subjects in this film, symbolizes the journey we all have to take when striving for our dreams. 

 THE GOAL

All of the filming for this project is done, however, I am in need of your help for the post production portion.  I am trying to raise $3,766 to fully complete this project.  It will be used for the following:

·          *Editing

·          *DVD packaging

·          *Film Festival Submission Fees

 

HOW KICKSTARTER WORKS?

Kickstarter is a tool for anyone in the creative world to gather the help and support needed for their projects. Kickstarter allows us to share our project with the unlimited Internet community. We create a profile, set a fundraising goal and a time frame to meet it, and offer rewards as a thank you.

However, Kickstarter is an ALL OR NOTHING proposition.  If we are even a dollar short of our goal, we lose it all.

 IF THE COMPLETE FUNDING DOES NOT SUCCEED, DO BACKERS PAY ANYTHING?

No. Nothing. Every Kickstarter project must be fully funded before its time expires or no money changes hands.

IS MY PLEDGE PUBLICLY DISPLAYED?

No. We get to see that, but no one else does.

HOW DO I PLEDGE?

To pledge to a project, just click the green “Back This Project” or a specific "Reward" button of your choosing on the right side of the Kickstarter page and continue until you are finished with the Amazon check-out process. You must finish the process for your pledge to be recorded.

 IF I MAKE A PLEDGE, WHEN IS MY CARD CHARGED?

If the project is successfully funded, your card will be charged when the project reaches its funding deadline. If the project does not reach its funding goal, your card is never charged.  You can check into the Kickstarter page to follow the progress and count down the days.

IF I DONATE, WHEN DO I GET MY "REWARD"?

After we make our goal, Kickstarter provides us with a program to create pledge-specific questionnaires to email all the backers. We will ask for all relevant information to make sure you get what we promised.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT THE "REWARD"? I JUST WANT TO SUPPORT.

There's a button you select when you donate if you don't want your reward. 

CAN I INCREASE MY PLEDGE ONCE IT'S BEEN MADE?

Of course!  Once you donate to a campaign, you may want to change your incentive reward to a different one, or increase your pledge amount. Just go to Kickstarter and sign in. If you go to the campaign page, the green “Back This Project” button has been replaced with a blue “Manage Your Donation” button. Click it and you can enter a new amount, or choose a new incentive.

CAN WE RAISE MORE THAN OUR GOAL?

YES! Since this is all or nothing, I have set the goal on the low end.  Exceeding the goal would allow us to work out production details, meet the inevitable surprises and provide more DVDs for distribution.

CAN I GIFT MY REWARD?

YES! You can also donate to the film in another person’s name. To do this, just proceed with the normal donation process in your name for billing. After our fundraising deadline, we will contact you asking for the name of the person you want your donation to be in, the address, and other important information.

I AM NOT IN THE U.S., CAN I STILL SUPPORT YOU?

Yes.  All you need is a credit card. Domestic and international shipping costs are included in the rewards.
